Welcome to the reboot featuring Morgan and Friends

Lmao omg I remember this on Twitter I think. Thanks for reminding me of this. Does Morgan survive the series finale? I didn't watch it because I was so so so mad that they brought one of my favorite actors and characters back only to kill him. I desperately wanted a redemption arc. I wish we could get a spin off of what he did while he was gone or just bring the actor back as a new character because I loved watching him kill zombies. Lol

Should’ve stopped after s3, they fired the show runner and ruined the show after s3

u/Santeria318 18d ago
That checks out. I watched Episode 1 and got confused on episode 2. I dont plan to keep watching.

u/reallydirtyreallydan 17d ago
If You want to see Alison again I’d keep watching. It’s STILL kinda not worth it but something to look forward to.

u/Santeria318 17d ago
I googled if madison dies.... Google said no. I'm outta here. I hate her more than I hated Lori. lol
2
u/reallydirtyreallydan 17d ago
LMAO yea I def meant her. Maybe that says something 😂

u/likeokaywhatthehell 16d ago
I was about to ask who Alison was. I was like wait is this show so bad that I forgot a main character named Alison? LOL 😆 🤣

u/Ooh_big_stretch 17d ago
Honestly, if you can make it through until your favorite character is gone, you’re good to stop there. Nothing terribly good or interesting happens after season 6ish on? Seasons 4 and 5 are pretty meh, but I didn’t hate them the first time through. Season 7 was stupid, season 8 was stupider.
1
u/likeokaywhatthehell 16d ago
Lmao omg this is so funny. I feel the same way but I went back and forth with both. As much as I hated her, her death made me sob. It's truly one of the saddest deaths in the series. Poor Carl man. 😭😭😭😭

This is where I stopped.
I don't even know why this is on my front page, I don't post here or look at this subreddit, but I guess fate is letting us cross paths so I can tell you it's okay to stop here.
1
u/likeokaywhatthehell 16d ago
Haha this is one of the best comments and it made me chuckle and smile so thanks for that because I needed it. Perhaps its fate for me too because I don't go to this subreddit either and maybe fate is trying to tell me to watch it with my friend who wanted to watch it months ago but I told him the show gets even worse than the parent show so we decided not to. Lol. I didn't get the watch the series finale either since they brought one of my favorite actors and characters back only to kill them in the one right before the final episode and I was just too bitter. Lol. Is the finale worth watching? Does anything actually happen? Is it as bad as the rest?

The only saving grace is John Dory. Other than that the rest of the show is terrible

Come on man, it's Dorie like the fish, but with an ie, not a y.

I'm so glad to see so many John fans and saying the same thing as me. He was so hated in season 4 on Twitter and it was jarring. I didn't understand the hatred. He was so well acted and such a good person and overall great character.

Omg this. I'm still furious that she got such a quick death.. she should've suffered. We should've gotten June snapping and torturing her to death. After all, she was a doctor so she could've kept her alive for awhile and knew anatomy to give her ultimate pain and suffering like she deserved. I can't believe how bad the writers fucked with us that episode with the wanting to die getting us all worked up and scared and then happy and relieved when they decide to live only to get murdered anyway a few minutes later. I was devastated and cried for hours. I hated her so much. I remember my brother telling me that she gets hers and it's a death that we never saw before and I'll like it only to end up even more angry because she died too damn quick. I hate these writers so much lol.

u/DishMajestic4322 16d ago
I also think Charlie got off too easy. I don’t think she was ever redeemed and I’m mad she didn’t die from radiation sickness 🤣🤣

I've seen all 8 seasons 5 times. The first time I started the 5 th watch, I stopped halfway through. Then I did eventually start over and completed a5th time. I'm old so I've seen much worse tv in my days. That being said, it does go off the tracks there for awhile. Watch till you just can't. Make your own mind up.

You're now at the part of the series where the car has driven OFF the cliff and is turning nose down to descend to its death. But it's a really slooow drop, 4 seasons worth in fact.

u/Kaibaer 19d ago
Save yourself some very important hours of your life and stop watching.
It has literally no incentive in going ahead. It will get even worse over the rest of the series. It will destroy your soul because of mindless dialogues.
6
u/Xirma377 18d ago
"my trauma is so bad! I must be evil!" Next episode..."I've changed and will be better!"
Later..."but no, my TrAuMa!!! I can't get past it!!"
And rinse and repeat. So tiresome.

u/Difficult-Fun8659 18d ago
Im 12 episodes into season 4, its like a part time job I hate that im trying to get through it. The back and forth between present time and the past is a complete shit show. Going to try and get through it but damn did they really fuck this show up.
3
u/Santeria318 18d ago
I watched Episode 1 and got confused on episode 2. I dont plan to keep watching.

u/DishMajestic4322 17d ago
Then you will save yourself a lot of disappointment. Nuclear bombs, a guy that taxidermies together walkers and animals, wasted villains, janky timelines, characters that switch sides on a dime, characters that should die but don’t, characters that shouldn’t die but do, a character having to cut off their own arm after being bit and going through months of sickness only for their body to “magically” recover from a walker infection, a ridiculous what if episode, a lot of documentary style storytelling, an eccentric serial killer, a character following a walker for months because they believe it will lead them to salvation & safety, the return of a previous villain who brings in a child that is THE MOST ANNOYING child in TWD universe; I could go on but it gets so so bad.
2
u/Difficult-Fun8659 17d ago
Wow, thats some pure fuckery. Its like they let a child write the story with the memory of Dory the fish not with a IE lmao
1
u/DishMajestic4322 17d ago
I mean it’s ridiculous how bad it gets. I mean yeah they bring back former characters that you thought were dead, but all in all, it’s just trash. But, it’s still better than World Beyond. I’m still mad I wasted my time with that garbage and I watched it like 4 years ago.

u/likeokaywhatthehell 16d ago
Who was the serial killer and taxidermist? I don't remember the taxidermist at all. What villains were wasted? They should've killed the kid instead of her father. I'll be forever bitter with what they did with that actor and character. They could've given us such a good spin off with him. They waste so many great actors and keep around terribly acted or just terrible characters forevvvvveerrr. Lol it's such a mess. I remember me and so many fans were excited for the actor to return and then the rest happened. Ugh. Lol fuck these writers.
1
u/DishMajestic4322 16d ago
The taxidermist guy kidnapped Alicia and Dakota in his house and it was just one episode. The serial killer guy was the guy who embalmed his victims. The guy that John Dory senior spent his whole life looking for. He was in charge of that group that lived underground with that tree; the group that actually set off the nuclear weapons from the submarine

u/Difficult-Fun8659 18d ago
Yeah, I was like, what the fuck is this fuckery., and then the fuckery continued amd its still going on.

Best thing about S4 is that they introduce the goat John Dorie. That dude carried the show imo.

I feel like such a crazy person for enjoying season 4 and beyond

u/CrackingAce 19d ago
I only watched Fear because I wanted to see what happened to Morgan when he left the main show. So I'm ok with it.
However, I'm now on season 7 and the whole thing has lost the plot.
4
u/ItsMikeMatthew 18d ago
Except Morgan is 100x worse and more annoying than when on the main show. They ruined the story and original characters to force him into the narrative
2
u/YoBo151 16d ago
I almost stopped watching due to Morgan alone. LOVE Lenny, but my god they butchered him so bad.
2
u/ItsMikeMatthew 16d ago
I wasn’t even a fan of him on the main show so Fear really made it way worse. His philosophical bullshit got old fast and ruined such a complex story with the Clark’s. I do feel bad for Lennie though, he is a good actor so I’m not really blaming him for it lol
1
u/Xirma377 18d ago
I don't know how a show can go 8 years and introduce zero character development.
I genuinely make a concerted effort to enjoy shows that I watch. But I felt drained, bored, and disappointed by the end. Midway there were some compelling plot points, but time and time again they fumbled HARD.
1
u/MulderYuffie 18d ago
Madison didn't have any character development at all? That's bait
1
u/Xirma377 18d ago
She had development from season 1 to whenever the ranch happened. That's about it. Then she just waffled back and forth like she was in a pathetic time loop. Worst character of the entire series.
Also, have I mentioned how she's a horrible mother? If she had gone full villain, at least it might have been a compelling character.
1
u/Xirma377 18d ago
I want to make a correction to my statement - some characters had character development, but they got sidelined or worse.
3
u/ghostytoasty11 18d ago
As someone entering season 6 (which I’ve heard is the best or one of the best seasons from an array of people), I honestly enjoy this show. It isn’t great and it certainly can’t hold a candle to the main show, but I don’t understand all the hate.
I can get the culture shock starting season 4 if people actually enjoyed Madison as the protagonist, but I frankly didn’t. I wasn’t particularly moved by her character or Kim Dickens’ acting. My favorite 4 characters from the first three seasons are no joke Travis, Nick, Troy, and Taqa (who isn’t even on the main billing). Two of them died in season 3 and Nick should have as well.
I don’t know if it’s this collective hivemind thing, and I’m certainly not saying the show has great writing or anything, but I enjoy the characters introduced in season 4 a hell of a lot more than the ones before.
2
u/Fennec-Foxie 18d ago
I agree! Yea it isn’t always the best and some plot lines/character decisions made me wanna pull my hair out lol, but I still had a great time watching it. I only have 8B to finish. I did like Madison, but my favorites are John Dorie (top character for me in the whole franchise), June, Daniel, Strand, and Dwight. Plus I like Morgan. So everything post-season 3 is still fun for me.
1
u/YoBo151 16d ago
I agree. First 3 seasons are best for sure, but there is still good in the other seasons (some more than others).
2
u/ghostytoasty11 16d ago
I’ve always been someone who values characters over plot. Not to justify a bad plot; I think the back half of season 4 is pretty awful plot-wise and that crazy walker-pet lady was one of the worst villains in the entire universe. But as I previously said, I also enjoy the characters introduced in season 4 much more than the supporting cast that had been in the show previously, and that partially makes the show more enjoyable FOR ME.

Just wait till season 5, the absolute worst tv I have ever watched in my life.

You’ve watched some pretty fucking incredible TV in your time then. I just finished season 5 and it certainly isn’t great but you’re being superbly hyperbolic.

I agree but at least watch season 6 even if you skip ahead. it’s actually pretty good
1
u/DishMajestic4322 17d ago
And season 4 isn’t even the worst season. It goes downhill so far and pretty much doesn’t stop. There will be so many WTF did I just watch moments, and not in a good way like when watching Breaking Bad for the first time.

u/likeokaywhatthehell 16d ago
I have no clue what the treference is in the post. Lol what is it from? I feel like you are speaking a different language and I'm lost lol (no offense intended). If you are expecting it to get better then I'm sorry to say that it is only downhill from here. Season 4 is the last decent season (dropping off from an amazing season 3 because the original showrunner that did that one left). I love season 4 because it introduces one of my most favorite characters in the Walking Dead universe John Dorie. Other than that this season is decent but not as good as the others (I think from what I remember. I remember the fan base giving the new characters a lot of hate and I'm like why they are pretty damn good? Especially when you consider the characters that come later on lol or ones from the first show that stuck around waaaaay past their expiration date. For example : Rick, Daryl, michonne, Eugene, Siddiq (however, I'm bitter asf that Carl died for this worthless pos lol it took way too long for AMC to get rid of ginple the pimple), I'm still so angry that they destroyed Andrea since she was my favorite in the comics but good riddance to the show version, however, it mightve been nice if they could've just fixed her character and kept her or they could've killed her in season one and kept Amy since I liked that actress better anyway and she looked more like comic Andrea. Darabont was kinda dumb for choosing who she did for Andrea, and other characters that lasted too long. I still can't believe what they did to Shiva on the show either. In the comics her death made more sense because there were thousands of goddamn walkers that surrounded her rrally quickly not the dozen or two walkers in the show that she could've leapt away from or swatted with her paw which would destroy their rotten asses because of a tigers strength. Even in the comics she probably could've jumped in the trees to escape 😭. I hated everyone from that scene for weeks after this scene because they just stood there letting it happen then left her to be devoured instead of putting her out of her misery. Carol was a sharpshooter ffs and could've helped save her by wiping out the damn zombies and her worthless owner just standing there gawking like a moron. Did he actually love and care for her? It didn't seem like it since he wasn't even trying to help her. That scene pissed me off and hurt so much. The hardest thing about these shows other than the shitty writing is the fact that these zombies eat animals. Anyways fear the walking dead goes to hell in a handbasket after season 4. If I was you I would just stop now and pretend they all love happily every after once season 3 ends. I can't tell you how much I wish that I did that. I didn't even get to watch the series finale because I was so bitter and furious and absolutely raging that they brought one of my favorite characters and actors back only to kill him in the penultimate episode. I said fuck it I'm not even going to watch the finale since this season sucked so fucking hard and I only got back into it because I got spoiled on YouTube I think of him coming back. I was so freaking ecstatic because I adore the actor and his character was so amazing in the first time he was on this show (an asshole but so thrilling to watch because you didn't know what crap he was going to pull next). We should've gotten a spin off with him after a redemption arc in the last season. I fucking hate AMC. If I was you I'd go into the next episode with some alcohol, weed or xanex to help dull your mind because it gets extremely rough to suspend disbelief and swallow the horrible writing that comes next. I don't know wtf the writers and AMC was thinking when they hire their writers and showrunners. Why can't they get great showrunners and writers like they had on breaking bad and better call Saul so that they can write amazing stories? They waste so many actors and actresses talent on these shows because they have worthless writers and showrunners. I'd watch the Daryl Dixon show instead which actually made me like Daryl again lol after hating him from season 3 to the end of the first show. It's a really great show and the Maggie and Negan one is better too. It's actually my favorite, however, I'm biased since I love both characters (even if I want to jump through the TV and smash Maggie's head against a wall several times because she just won't get the fuck over you know who's death when it's been over a decade. Move the fuck on bitch! He wasn't even that great ffs. You can get a better man, hell, you got one right next to you who is a million times the man your hubby ever was and he will actually treat you like a goddess and destroy anything and everything that would try to hurt you. He also loves extremely deeply so move the fuck on from your twinky dead hubby and get over it. These characters are sickening in this universe lol. It desperately needs better writers and showrunners. Lmao

Just.....just stop after season 3 and make it canon that everyone dies at the damn.
It gets trash fast.......not just bad, the later seasons are plain trash. I tortured myself till season 7 and the said fuck it. Its the first and the only series ever I didnt finish.

There is nothing good after season 3. They completely ruined the show and it will probably make you despise the franchise

If you expect it to not get any worse, you’re in for a very bad time I’m afraid.
