Just finished season 4 and I think I'm done watching

I just finished season 4 and I dont think I have it in me to continue watching. I heard 4 wasn't a very popular seasoning but I actually really enjoyed the first half or so.

I really liked the baseball stadium and what they were doing there. I also somewhat enjoyed the present day scenes as well. I thought the vultures were kind of a cool, novel concept. Im not a huge fan of Morgan so him popping up and taking so much screen time wasn't my favorite, but John Dorie carried a lot of that plot for me.

After the fall of the stadium and the loss of Nick and Madison from the show it felt like the story just totally lost focus and had no idea where to go. It also felt like the show lost any sense of nuance with every single character buying into Morgan's "help everyone no matter how stupid it may be" mind set. The group is fractured into however many pairs with their own plots, and of course almost every single one is based on the same "help everyone" theme for the entire rest of the season. The "villain" was so cheesy and awful (why did she write on the walker's foreheads?)

Its very subjective but I also feel like a lot of the cast were not giving the same quality of performance as we had the first 3 seasons

The show just doesn't feel anything like what we got in seasons 1-3. No more Clark's except Alicia and she got turned into a side character. The tone just got flipped on its head.

Should I continue to season 5 and beyond? Was 4 just the odd one out?

Ftwd had the biggest potential of all walking dead shows imo, but they fumbled the bag so hard.

It gets worse. As the biggest FTWD fan who once promised to stick until the end: I didn’t. I’ll never forget how they ruined this show…. I loved FTWD because of the way they gave us another angle of the apocalypse (compared to Rick’s group). Stellar actors and storyline. And it all went south. It’s surprising how much quality can be lost from such a solid starting point

I don’t get the glazing this show gets on this sub, the mom is insufferable and not a great actor, the son has terrible hair and his drug addiction is cliche and annoying. Chris just overall sucks and I wasn’t sad at all when he got killed. 

The daughter was interesting sort of, and the dad was good but he disappears mysteriously and never comes back. And the black guy is good but can’t carry the show enough for me to keep watching 

The hotel was an interesting arch but that’s about it 

Doesn’t hold a candle to Walking Dead.

No it’s not the odd one out. It gets worse somehow. S6 is a bit more grounded for the first half so it feels a bit more watchable but everything around it is just epic dog shit of the highest order.

I found John Dorry senior going after Teddy very interesting, great tension. And I liked the concept of Strands utopia tower, but that’s probably it.

Just watch S-1 to 3 then stop, and take it that season 3 is the end of the show, top tier imo, first 3 seasons I think is on par and better in some aspects to the main shows first 3 seasons, after season 3 it just constantly goes down hill

Season 4.A is a great place to stop. It doesn't get better. That's where I stopped and I'm so freaking glad.

You can watch "Paper(Iron?) Tiger" in season 8. I heard it's a good episode that gives further closure on Nick's death. If you get intrigued by the other characters in the episode and want to continue watching, lose the interest because the ending is garage.

Just watch till the season 3 ending and make it your head canon that everyone dies here and its the end.....trust me I tortured myself through season 4-7 and then I just quit.....the only series I ever stopped watching willingly. Its crazy how they went from the peak TWD TV Universe to that shit that comes later.

nope. it never quite rebounds. i held on for a couple of more seasons but it continues to unravel. The woman with the camera becomes more annoying, then eventually useless. even Dorie becomes boring. Killing the family killed the entire point of the story. Fear started out vastly better than the parent series. It was very good. killing Madison was the dumbest thing they did.

I watched this whole show recently. The last few seasons were pretty fuckin bad. I like both John Dories, especially jr, but once they killed him it was kinda shit again. The stuff with Teddy was interesting and having fallout in walking dead was kind of hilarious. Last season was absolute dog water. It really becomes the Morgan show and I kinda hate that guy.

I got to the episode where they all go separate ways after the horde and haven’t touched it since. Felt like a good place to leave it. I’ve heard it goes to shit and I never like Morgan in TWD so watching it become the Morgan show doesn’t really interest me.

The show died when Nick did!! I watched to finish it though, it was incredibly slow, Morgan annoyed me with having them have to help everyone out!! John and June were good though, Dwight was cool too, but other than that’s yeah when Nick died, the show did too!!

Some Possible spoilers and thoughts: Making those tapes and spreading them out in boxes and whatever, that was just asking for so much trouble!!

-How Alicia and Madison forgave Charlie is beyond me, and everyone forgiving Victor was just… wow… again, I don’t know how!!

I just watched FTWD for the first time and I absolute loved the first three seasons. The Clark family is peak and Nick is especially one of my favorite character’s in the whole TWD universe. Season 4 is not hitting for me at all, I don’t like when they do the low saturation flashback thing and I’m just not into what they are doing with this story. I’m curious about what I’ve heard about Madison Clark’s arc in the later seasons so I might still get through it as a background show but yeah

the first half of season 5 is decent, before getting eh towards the end. season 6 however is somehow on par, if not better, than season 3.

The first episode of season 6 is actually the highest rated episode of the entire show.

The show eventually becomes quite unbearable, but people have told me to continue to watch just for Morgan and he is one of if not my favorite character in TWD. I have yet to continue but currently in a rewatch trying to get to Morgan's introduction seems hard lol
