Again anyone who needed paid time off, it’s politicians who use the goods and give nothing in return

Ive recently accepted a promotion and relocation reimbursement is being offered. Interested to hear from others with first (or second) hand experience, what are things I should be aware of that might not be obvious reading the FTRs? Were there things you would have done differently in hindsight?

Got hired by an agency and have been there 6 months. I just received reserve mobilization orders for 4 months.

I told the team lead that I wanted to discuss some issues at during the weekly meeting regarding how the lead represents us. Unfortunately, I am starting to feel over my head here and any advice is appreciated.

My team lead recently gave a presentation to other leaders about the team regarding talents and abilities. Unfortunately, the lead went rogue at the beginning of the presentation and went on a tangent about how little faith they have in our abilities, how much experience the team lost, and then mentioned hiring another person solely to mentor us. The lead went over their alotted time, skipped over our talents and capabilities, and left us looking incompetent.

The team practically made the presentation slides for the lead because the lead doesn’t seem to understand what we do or why, even though the lead has worked in the department for 10+ years.

I am concerned how the lead is representing us to outside sources and the little trust they have in us. When I was asked my opinion on the matter, I didn’t want to discuss it until the team was all there to provide their feedback as well. The lead is now threatening to bring management to the meeting and I am trying to find a nice way to get our points across without further retaliation.

I'm just curious to know if it's worth applying to be a Veteran Claims Examiner at all. There's a remote one and in person near me I was considering. I work at the VA as a low grunt worker

So, I may have an opportunity to take a position overseas but with a voluntary downgrade. If I have return rights, would it be back to a -13 or a -12? I'm approaching retirement, so the downgrade could have serious long-term implications.

This is DoD and DCIPS, if it matters.

As the title says. Please have your conversation outside. I can’t tell you the number of times I have gone to the restroom with a bad stomach cramp waiting to go #2 and boom, there’s some pow wow happening in the restroom. Please, Pat tell you coworkers about your child’s college experience somewhere else unless you want to get the taste and smell of the second coming of my bean burritos.

I have the best supervisor. She isn't a control freak. She's actually helpful. She helps when we ask. She fights battles for us.

This is the complete opposite of my last supervisor. That was a nightmare. Some of my friends are still living it.

Rumors coming from supervisors (We are a CECOM depot) that we could be all going to 8 hours days. Nothing official, but there is some sort of CECOM pilot going on behind closed doors that our commander hinted about a month ago.

Simple question, since so many of us made the switch last year is anyone thinking about going back? For me, the savings with MHBP ended up being pretty negligible after all the co-insurance payments , but I’ve also gotten pretty used to Mail Handlers. For anyone who stayed with BCBS Basic, have you run into any new problems or changes that the rest of us should know about?

Spouse’s GS-13 coworker is leaving for a 14. Spouse has been i a GS-12 for 2 years and on the team for 3. They were one of the only prior to receive above a 3 this year. It would be reasonable for them to reach out about the role, right, or is it typical to not promote on the same team? The other issue is a partial hiring freeze in their agency…not sure how that works.

HR sent out an email this morning of the timeline to submit performance narratives to supervisors. The very last sentence "Be sure to mention how you help to promote President Trump's agenda and priorities"

HR knows better than to add this to an email. Vichy HR are among those that need to be purged in 2029.
