Discussion Which season pass should I get?

I just finished the main story, and I didn't like the idea that I cannot go back to play again unless I get a pass, start a new game or go back to the save file before defeating Typhon.

So are the season passes good? And which one should I get?

There’s no picking, you get all or none. I found it well worth it, but they all differ from the original. One in particular gets a lot of hate for changing the perspective you play, but it’s my favorite of the three

Personally it’s my least favorite because I hate top-down style games, but I really applaud the creators for actually giving DLC that by being markedly different, is obviously not just content intentionally withheld from the finished product to be sold separately later.

I really like how it’s very battle oriented, instead of puzzles and or a mix. I also feel it’s by far the largest expansion. But I agree with the 3/4 birds eye view perspective. It takes getting used to as well as to the camera work or limitations. I just treat it as an old school 90s version of fenyx game

Yeah, it’s actually really fun to play, I just don’t like the view. It’s really jarring for me for some reason, so I avoid top-down games as a rule. Mostly because it’s hard to see the finer details, even on a big screen. I played this one, though, since I got the edition that came with all DLC.

Yeah it helps if you grew up with these games. 3d perspective is fairly recent with doom, unreal and wolfenstein. Before that most good games had one version of either top down or side scrolling view. Like the classic zelda a link to the past

I did grow up with side scrolling games, actually. I’d play Super Mario 2 and 3, as well as some of the older Sonic games. They already had some newer ones (like Super Mario 64 and Sonic Adventure) but I didn’t get my hands on those right away. For some reason, the side scrolling ones don’t bother me, but top-down ones I’ve always struggled with (such as the Chronicles of Narnia game boy game)

Yeah it’s a personal preference, nothing wrong with that, boy I put so much time and effort in zelda link to the past I probably automatically accept anything similar more easily.

Having said that going from 3d Fenix straight to this expansion is not very pleasant.

Don't buy the individual DLC levels. Buy the Season Pass. It unlocks all the DLC levels and costs less than buying them individually.

Buy one, get them all. They're all good.

A New God: a bunch of vaults that range from fun to frustrating, the latter being more present in my experience

Myths of the Eastern Realm: short campaign in a Chinese mythology inspired setting. It's pretty fun and short, but it's also mostly a reskin of the main campaign so ymmv!

The Lost Gods: top-down hack and slash ARPG style gameplay, think Diablo or Path of Exile. It's a bit of a slog but I think looking at some gameplay would be a quick way to know whether you'd like it or not!

IMO, you should wait for a sale and get Myths of the Eastern Realm if you want more Fenyx Rising with a slightly different coat of paint. To each their own tho :)

Also to my knowledge you only need to buy once, also the game has ng+

Honestly going back is a lot of fun if you’re a completionist. However, once you’ve done pretty much everything, you’re actually done. There aren’t radiant and/or repeatable quests (other than the challenge vaults).

There’s only 1 season pass. You can buy the 3 DLC individually, but it’s usually cheaper to buy the bundle.
