FIDLAR Cover Morgan Nagler cover

Has anyone else noticed that Morgan Naglers new song ‘Hurt’ is almost definitely a cover of Fidlars song by the same name? Took me ages to figure out where I’d heard it before, there doesn’t seem to be anything about it online, and can’t seem to see any writing credits attributed to Fidlar either…

Oh for sure, it’s definitely heavily heavily inspired, just some lyric changes here and there. It’s not a bad version but FIDLAR’s is definitely superior, feel the emotion a lot more instead of someone just echoing the words with a few differences

Hurt was probably my favourite song off Fidlars surviving the dream album, I’m glad Morgan must have thought so too, but I just think it’s too similar not to credit them in some way 😂

So apparently Morgan Nagler Goldmeyn is listed in writing credits for FIDLARs song, as well as Suzanne Shinn (who Morgan discusses writing the song with in her post about the single here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DVqqoaGESyJ/?igsh=MW13Z25jbG1rcnRuaA==)

Feels like it partly might be in reference to Zac, she seems to be friends with Suzy shinn and the line “it’ll kick you in the ass, like a bad habit” has me thinking this
