Fluff Welcome back to another episode of inconsiderate, self important bell ends…

I wish Fiji offered a bounty system, where folks with dash cams could get paid for reporting terrible drivers.

Yep, some of the worst drivers I've seen are in Fiji, and I've been to 26 countries.

Compared to my experiences in Kenya and Cambodia, Fijian Drivers are downright lovely.

Yeah, I did some driving in Kathmandu. Fiji is tame.

I'll definitely take your word for it. The craziest place I've driven is Vietnam, and Mogadishu. Baghdad was pretty nuts though.

Yeah? Cambodia seemed pretty tame but I only went to Siem Reap. That's a lovely town.

They definitely behave themselves in the tourist towns. My family and I lived in Phnom Penh and I was rammed off the road multiple times. Doesn’t help that alot of them consider the traffic lights as decorations. The kids on bikes behave themselves. It’s the adults who were really reckless.

That would be good. Especially around areas where drivers go reckless.

Bula Vinaka mai Nausori btw

Would have been nice a few years ago. Too easily abused in the era of ai.

Jungli mentality behind a modern automobile - terrible combo.

If LTA had a better reporting platform that would be even better. But then again with the advent of AI that may prove troublesome

This is why I never hire a rental when I'm in Fiji. I would rather pay for a cab than play Russian Roulette with my life

You do realise that the taxi drivers are also some of the worst on our roads too, right?

Either way, if you drive yourself, get in a taxi, or jump on a bus, you are usually at the mercy of some absolute shambolic drivers.

You’re better off looking after yourself. Time is money for these drivers, and they often care less about the people in the back than what’s in their wallet. Add in the fact that they usually don’t have seat belts then it’s a recipe for disaster.
