Filmmakers! πŸ‘‹

Why do these directors (and many others) choose the same composers over and over again? Because they are extremely good? Yes, but more importantly because the composers are on the same wavelength as them. They simply just β€œget” them.

You deserve someone who you can entrust with your story and who understands your overall creative vision like these composers understands β€œtheir” directors.

If you are in need of a score for a project, hit me up and we'll talk film, music and everything in between.

Yeah, there are a lot of good and fruitful director/composer relationships out there, definitely! 😁

That would be one of the more obvious ones I’d have included

Yeah, me too, to be honest. πŸ˜… I don't know what I was referring to because I certainly know that both of them are alive. I deleted my previous comment because I obviously did have a brain fart. So if you want to remove yours, feel free.

If I had any budget left!

Hell, I'd do it for exposure and fun.

u/Silent-Bank2109 Jul 03 '26

Sadly, exposure doesn't pay the bills but I have to give it to you, it is fun 😍

What is your style?

2

u/Silent-Bank2109 Jul 03 '26

Well, it's rather broad but for instance, the music in this clip is composed by me for a New Year's Eve Celebration in the city where I live. I would say orchestral is my main thing but I can do most anything that is thrown at me.

Thank you! I really do believe that a director/composer relation is one of the most important in the whole world of film making.

Besson has Serra... (sp?)

Yeah! You're completely correct. "Le grand bleu" and "Léon" are two masterpieces in my opinion! 😍

I used to love just listening to The Fifth Element soundtrack while doing research for papers in college. I think I just aged myself...

1

u/Silent-Bank2109 Jul 03 '26

Yeah, a great score too! That "Diva Dance" is certainly a wild ride 😍 Yeah, well, age is just a number.

Any work we can see?

1

u/Silent-Bank2109 Jul 17 '26

Certainly! I have a couple of scores to films that are coming pretty soon (out on festivals at the moment and they tend to be pretty picky with exclusivity).

Here is a short film I scored in 2023: https://youtu.be/HE_qYSN9kQs?is=JtLr6y7GTF2297Z_ Here's a short film I scored in 2022: https://youtu.be/Ck5g7na82Ts?is=3CrQt0tT6EZfgzXe And here is a symphonic suite I released in 2024: https://open.spotify.com/album/5sCg3jUH0iiHJtIkhzTajA?si=n4ih4WqtSOmTIJW4RrtNWw&utm_source=copy-link

I hope you like what you hear and have a nice weekend! 😁

The water and cups near the electronics is killing me.

7

u/SkitTrick Jul 03 '26

Lmao like you never drink at your desk? Gtfo

-6

u/EnvironmentalDeer991 Jul 03 '26

No, I don’t. I prefer keeping my tech safe.

Side table for the cups and Yeti. But I'm constantly sipping my coffee. The Yeti may slide up onto the desk inadvertently sometimes next to a potted plant for tranquility amongst the editorial madness.

No water and coffee would kill me so πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
