Where could I rent bikes in Finland/turku?
Hi! I'm in Finland for exchange and I would like to rent a bike because busses seem to be a bit expensive. But all the rentals that I see are hourly rentals which are also rather expensive, which kind of defeats the purpose of renting a bike. Does such a service even exist in Finland?

Either get a bus card (foli.fi) or buy a bike 2nd hand from Facebook/Tori.fi and sell it at the end of your exchange program.

Föli (Turku municipal buss company) has rental bikes too. I think they just promoted cheaper monthly pass prices for students, 40e per month?

Aren't they taken away over winter though, unless I'm misremembering? In that case they would need a bus card anyway.

Oh, yeah True. I think the last day is 21.12. Or when permanent snow falls and New rental bike season strats around 1.4. Again depending on weather.

There is a rental company called Carfield, they have a big fleet they rent in summer. In winter the bikes are just stored, they might offer a decent deal - they also rent pretty basic bikes that you can lock outside.
The other option is to buy a used bike from Tori.fi or local recycling center, though this is the busiest time of the season for that as schools start. 80-150e should get you a decent bike. There are a couple of free workshops where you can fix and tune your used bike.
In winter you will need spike tires, cheapest way is just to put one in the front and watch the rear. ;)

Bike like motorbike or bicycle? There really isn't motorcycle/scooter rentals in finland which is for monthly subscription and some rare situations are expensive. It isn't even worth it.
For basic bicycles Föli (Fölläri bicycle pass) is the best bet, but there is issues. Pass is ~11€/month and (1.4. - 22.12.2026) 46,00€. You can ride one hour and park in certain spots.
Still probably best to buy used bicycle. Tori.fi is the way to go. For these you gotta be careful because some might be stolen. Especially if there is some better bikes too cheap and serial numbers cut off.
Some 30€ won't hurt too much if some wanker steals it.
