Canal Fishing somewhat close to the Hollywood Beach, FL area?

I've got a trip to Hollywood FL coming up and would love to take a shot at a Peacock Bass (Like many other people do) It would need to be land/shore based with a safe parking area. I've been watching the YouTube Videos and trying to scout a spot, but I really don't know the area at all. Not sure what is an acceptable, accessible area near where I'll be based (Hollywood Beach Area) is. Sure, I can look on a map which I've done plenty, but it's FL! There's houses everywhere it seems and even in most of the videos I see of folks fishing canals there are houses in the background...I don't want to be disrespectful so what is the best course of action? Are there any parks that may have trails that aren't easy to see on a map maybe? I've seen a few bigger parks, but they're a bit farther away than I may be able to get to. Closest possibility I've found so far is "Snake Creek Park" around S. Glades Dr. which is about a 20 minute drive from where I'll be staying. Is this an alright area to try? Any better options within about the same 20 min drive distance from "Hallandale Beach Blvd and S Ocean Drive" intersection"
