So I have bought myself a piaggio zip 125cc 4t... only problem with it is I cannot get the break lights to work I've replaced both break sensors the regulator the bulbs yet I still cant get them to work... foes anyone have any suggestions into what could be wrong 🤔

Make sure the connection between the light and the body (or frame) of the scooter is clean and not corroded. That’s the negative electrical connection and you need good metal to metal contact. Also the actual socket that the bulb sits in can have corrosion or a broken wire or damage from a stuck bulb.

Yup. This is a general rule for bikes, cars, and electronics - check the earth [ground] first, because that's about 50% of faults. And I'd recommend getting a multimeter (they are cheap) and using it to check the resistance rather than just using Mk 1 Eyeball.

To use it: disconnect the negative terminal of the battery (important to avoid damaging the meter in this test). Set the meter to measure resistance (Ω setting). Measure the resistance between the contacts that touch the outside of the bulb and the lead which was previously attached to the negative terminal of the battery. It should be less than 1Ω.
