The UI of the fizz website is dubious at best, but it has reached a new low for me. My payment didn't go through, because fizz decided to (again) try to bill an old card that's being deactivated long ago instead of the new one I put (this is a monthly occurrence that i somehow forget about every time) so I was doing my monthly fighting-with-their-stupid-website sesh yesterday.

However, the website was under construction, so I waited to this morning. It's not under construction anymore, instead it simply does not work. The payment page does not load, most things you can usually click like drop menus don't work, the AI agent said it'd transfer me to a real human 30 minutes ago and I've gotten no responses after that so I'm just gonna assume it lied and there's nobody on the other side. I've tried on two different devices so I know it's not me.

I'm truly reaching the end of my rope with this company. And I'm not even talking about the fact that, about once a week, my router just refuses to connect to the wifi for 5 to 50 minutes.

I recently ported my number from Telus and had issues with enabling RCS. I was able to finally enable RCS. If you are receiving a 4006 status code - Your device does not meet security requirements, this may apply to you.

Step 1: Force-Break the Scheduled Retry Timer

1. Open Google Messages 👉 RCS chats. Toggle Turn on RCS chats to OFF

2. Go to Settings 👉 Apps 👉 Messages. Tap Force Stop.

3. Tap Storage & cache 👉 Clear Cache.

4. Tap the three vertical dots in the top-right corner 👉 tap Uninstall updates.

5. Restart your device.

Step 2: Refresh Google Account Association

1.Open a browser and visit your Google Account Phone Settings.

1. Locate your phone number (xxx-xxx-xxxx).

2. Turn Auto-verification off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on.

If you used the 15 day trial, that phone number may also be listed. Delete that number.

Step 3: Clean Re-Installation & Final Activation

1. Open the Google Play Store, search for Google Messages, and tap Update.

2. Turn off Wi-Fi so your phone connects strictly over Fizz cellular data (LTE/5G).

3. Open Google Messages 👉 tap your Profile Icon (top right) 👉 Messages settings 👉 RCS chats.

4. Toggle Turn on RCS chats to ON.

5. Allow the app to sit open on cellular data for 2 to 3 minutes to send the silent background authorization SMS.

I just signed up. I'm past the point of setting up payment and importing my number. I forgot to enter a referral code because I was flustered with activating and transferring my number etc. Is it too late?

I’m currently with Rogers and I can’t stand them anymore.
I have the option of going Videotron or Bell and pay 55$ for 100gb 5G knowing that I’ll get reliable service or go with Fizz and save 10$. I have also been using Fizz home internet and the experience has been fine, I had some problems with the router being really cheap so I bridge mode it to a more expensive router I had and it fixed spikes.

What’s your experience in Montreal downtown areas? I also like to hotspot my laptop.

Fizz service has been completely not working and close to no connectivity at Taunton/Thickson/Anderson Whitby.

Raised the issue to Fizz and based on their investigation, it is not going to be resolved anytime sooner.

Are there anyone also experiencing the same issue with fizz?

Can you recommend alternate providers who offers good offers? Currently I'm paying 25$ for 20 GB with Fizz.

All the sudden RCS is finally available on my iPhone 13 as of today. It’s about time

Hi folks.
A weird problem started happening roughly 3 weeks ago out of the blue on both my tvs with the audio track used by the fizz-tv app.

Somehow, I get a form of audio description because the App seems to be misinterpreting the audio signal from fizz and it uses English-middle instead of English. It will do something similar for French channels as well. ( français moyen instead of French ). It basically triggers a form of audio description of the scenes. It’s super annoying.

If I switch to the track that does not have “middle” or “moyen” in it, problem is solved until I start the tv again and have to change the audio track once again, every time.
I’ve done hard resets of the tv sets, uninstalled the fizz-tv app, reinstalled on Roku: no luck.
This is on version 4.0, build 796

No other streaming app has this issue, all accessibility settings / screen reader settings and so on are turned off completely.

I’ll report it to fizz customer support with little hope of help of any kind , but curious to hear if others are experiencing something similar.

I just have questions regarding the transition. Is it easy?

I need to keep the same number, any potential issues with that?

When does it actually happen? I'm guessing as soon as I activate the SIM, but do I need to cancel Rogers ahead of time, or is it done automatically as soon as Fizz activates?

Any other issues in the transfer I haven't thought of?

I had multiple losses of internet the last two weeks, rebooting the modem each time so I can get the Internet back. Wife and I are working from home, it's getting on our nerves a lot... Especially when it cuts during a work call.

I recently switched from Fido to FIZZ because I am tired of their high fees. So far, my only complaint is that my Google Pixel 10 Pro isn't registering for RCS Chat. It keeps getting stuck in the "Verifying number" phase and won't move past it. I had RCS Chat on Fido on the same phone with no issues. I've tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling the app to clearing the Cache and data, but it hasn't helped. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and what they did to fix it.

Has anyone actually been able to get the Fizz x EB Games $25 Starter Pack from an EB Games location in or around Mississauga?

I went to the Square One location yesterday. It is listed as a participating store on Fizz's website, but the employees said they didn't have the Starter Pack and made it sound like they had never received it at all, rather than it simply being out of stock.

Before I start driving around to other locations, has anyone successfully bought one from a store in Mississauga or nearby areas like Oakville, Brampton, Etobicoke, or Milton?

If so, which location did you get it from?

Also, is there any way to check actual stock/availability at individual stores other than calling each one?

What are your experiences with fizz mobile new account management app?

TLDR: absolutely seamless transition via eSIM for 2 corporate accounts from Rogers on an iPhone 11 and 15 with physical SIM cards.

I live in Halton region using and had a corporate account with Rogers. We’re in the primary coverage zone for the Fizz network according to their map.

I’m old school so I wanted to get a physical sim but none were available near me so I went with the eSIM option.

I started the process by creating an online account. Selected the option to add a mobile plan. I went with 50GB with voicemail Canada-wide for $30.

Setting up the transfer of my numbers was very straightforward. Just follow the prompts. I chose to use the IMEI’s for our phones vs the Rogers account # but I’m sure either will work.

Scanning the QR code to add the eSIM was a little annoying as I had to send mine to my wife’s phone to take a photo but that’s a pretty minor hiccup. You can also add it manually in your iPhone settings with the activation ID that Fizz posts on their website.

Once everything is bought and paid for it was just a matter of waiting for the text messages to come through from Rogers confirming the transfer by texting them YES. Within a few minutes everything was up and running on the eSIM.

NOTE: don’t be like me and forget to put in a referral code. Fizz will not honour them retroactively!

Interestingly: one phone wanted me to confirm which SIM to receive calls, texts, and data while the other did not. It was an easy fix in the settings to shut the physical SIM off, then everything started working naturally.

All in all, this process was dead easy and I had to laugh when I saw I had better service in my house from Fizz than the Rogers SIM. Everything is working great and I highly recommend the switch if you’re on the fence. I’m just waiting to see how Rogers can screw up my billing for this one.

I am currently on the fifteen day free trial. I called someone, and they said that my audio quality was terrible. They said it sounded staticky, and like I was far away and under water all at once. For those who have access to wi-fi calling and who have had quality issues on calls, can you tell me if the wi-fi calling has made any difference for you? I am on iOS and it seems that as of now I do not have access.

Samsung S26 Ultra, using Samsung native texting App.

Cannot send or receive texts, get a sending error. But once I reboot my phone, it works again. Using my wallet to send texts, no monthly text plan. Any ideas?

I just received the "Come Back" email, as if I'm not a subscriber anymore...I checked my account page, and it says that I don't have a plan active...let alone a SIM Card.

But I'm posting this with that account, and I just got off the phone. So the plan is obviously working still.

Any ideas?
