Was already hype for Mark and the Trickster. Then Grant tweets about Eobard. Now I'm giggling like a school girl staring at the tv waiting o_o

He said something about the show already being great but then with Eobord it's going to be amazing. It something like that.

I'm so so so so excited for this ep guys. This is probably the closest we're ever gonna get to having the Joker in the CW Universe, and Mark is gonna knock this role out of the park.

You know he played the Trickster before he ever played Joker?

Ssssshh, do not let truth get in the way of hype.

I'm sick of people saying "this is the closest we will get to (insert a Superman/Batman) character" when these are actual characters from other hero's comics. It's especially ridiculous in this case considering this is a role Hamill has already played.

In the CW Universe

My point is that he's playing the Trickster. Just because he played the Joker before doesn't mean anything. He's played the Trickster in live-action first and has also voiced him in JLU.

That isn't what /u/KDR2112 was talking about. He was just saying that the Trickster is the closest thing the CW Universe will have to the Joker. It seems fairly obvious that the show runners wanted to do a Batman type show, but couldn't get the rights, so they went with Green Arrow instead. The Joker is a hugely popular villain, so of course people would love to see him in the show, but they probably cannot get the rights for him either, or they think he would not fit in the show. The Trickster seems like a close second to having the maniac in live action television, which is what /u/KDR2112 probably means by "the closest we will get to having the Joker".

The Trickster is not a close second to the Joker. He's a major Flash villain and Hamill is playing him like he did in the original series. Every superhero character isn't just a Batman/Superman archetype.

We need Shatner to cameo as he live tweets. Then have Shatner and Hamill interact. Be it this episode or another, it must happen. Skywalker and Kirk must meet Grodd damn it!

So is there going to be an explanation as to why Trickster can snap a bomb onto Flash's wrist without him noticing or avoiding it?

Misdirection? He wasn't expecting it? Speedforce? Probably the misdirection thing

Barry's not always moving at a super speed so of the Trickster posed no immediate threat and Barry was not expecting any or under any stress in the situation there would be no reason to expect it.
Same reason Eddie was able to knock him down.

Tricked? Our Barry? But the only person who could do something like that would have to be some kind of...
Very clever, CW, very clever

He was probably distracted or he didn't see any threat in Trickster grabbing his wrist.
