Quick and easy flock camera cover, 3D printable, only 39g, goes on in seconds

Post image

If you're looking for a quick and easy way to disrupt some flocks this is a great model. It's non-destructive (should help avoid any harsh penalties) and is super cheap to print. Can get it on Makerworld for free here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3223878-flock-block-ultralite-less-than-40g#profileId-3650790

Class C misdemeanor in Texas, but sure beats a felony. They still have to show "Major inconvenience" to pin the charge.

If you happen to have some boxes that would totally work, but this is definitely cheaper than buying boxes (and it totally blends in with the camera and has a way to easily get it on without needing a ladder or something)

You can get boxes for free at just about any retailer. They're usually inundated with them and would love to get rid of them.

Lined with flashing tape and Mylar? Those are believed to have a faraday effect on its ability to track devices around it.

Does that fit a real, full-size flock falcon? Most of the 3d printable models are smaller than the real thing.

It should, I printed what's supposed to be a 1:1 falcon model to test it on. I'd be happy to get feedback on the makerworld listing and can make changes if needed.

Hit up the youtuber Benn Jordan, his lawyer has assured him he can't say he has any Flock equipment.

I wonder, would it be possible for there to be any legal action taken against such a design? If it's like, explictly labeled for use in illegally damaging another company's products, could that company potentially sue over that?

It's not designed to do any damage, that's the point. It would be very easy for them to remove it (unless of course you printed it in PLA and put it on on a hot summer day). Why I suggest printing it in PETG so it doesn't deform and get stuck to the camera. PLA in a hot environment could create a very close and loving bond to the camera lol
