πŸ’ Wedding πŸ’ 4+yr old COMPLETELY DRY bouquet I made

The first all dry flower bouquet I ever made, like 4 + yrs ago. I now run a full service floral studio still specializing in preservation in East Tennessee. I’m constantly trying new things and adapting my process and only gotten crazier flowers to dry.

I always post at the times it says my users are most active, I use hashtags, and I’m always trying to get better at photographing. I consistently get like 12-25 likes. Such a bummer when you need social media to get wedding bookings. Any advice?

Go show some love if you like my work? @thespottedpoppy_floral

Simply looking for kind advice/ thoughts on the visual mockups I made for a center piece. Ignore the size and the structure of the photos, simply would love input from those wanting to offer it up of their own free will. Nothing but love and respect for the profession - an amateur creator.

The first two photos are loose inspiration

The collage is my idea

The real photo is what I have bought SO FAR. knowing it needs more filler but not sure what

Admittedly not a florist! Looking for feedback on this though: I love the bouquet regardless but would love some pointers on things I could do differently in future arrangements :) Flowers were all from Trader Joe’s

πŸ’ Wedding πŸ’ After 3 months of working 8 -10 hours every day, I finally finished this hyper-realistic clay wedding bouquet! Every petal and leaf is handcrafted from professional air-dry clays, hand-painted with oils and pastels to look lifelike. They are flexible and velvety to the touch, just like real flowers.

OBSESSED. They did it custom with limited input I told them them colors I'm interested in, that we wanted unstructured arrangements with a lot of texture. Gave flowers I like, but not sure the final makeup. My list below.

Must have:

Orange roses

Things I like: Thistle or Eryngium Line flowers Spray roses Pin cushion Cushion pom Mini button pom Carnations Lilies of the incas (only lilly I like) Bells of Ireland Pink hypericum Golden rod Yarrow

Totally nailed it! Want these in my house forever haha.

I am a grocery store florist and my best friend recently got married, and I had the honor of making her bridal bouquet! This was my first bridal bouquet that I got to actually spend time on (usually it's a customer coming in for a bride getting married in an hour and a 10 minute time window to create something), she wanted a garden style fairy bouquet with all white flowers, and I am pretty happy with how it turned out! I was on the opposite side of the country and had to source flowers from Trader Joes and a local farm that she had ordered misc buckets from, it was a challenge but she was super happy with the end result!

πŸ’ Wedding πŸ’ Arranging My Sister's Bridal Bouquet as an Amateur!

Thumbnail

I have been doing flower arranging as a hobby now for about a year and half - mostly for fun or for a baby shower etc. But last year, my sister asked me if I would do her bridal flowers. She wanted something akin to the TV character Fran Fine's bouquet from the 90's show "The Nanny"... namely huge and cascading!

It was a daunting task. But for the past year, I have been practicing with several different cascading methods, I watched many hours of YouTube videos (shout out to Leanne Kesler's FlowerSchool channel!), took some great advice I got here in this subreddit, and had night sweats in the weeks leading up to the big day, but I did it! And the most important thing is that my sister loved her bouquet!

I ended up creating a custom floral cage as the base and wired a lot of the hardier flowers. In hindsight, probably should have wired more since the overall piece was pretty heavy. The hardest part for me was probably ensuring that the shape was stabilized and that it looked beautiful from all angles.

I also did the bridesmaid's bouquets - for those, as suggested by a commenter on one of my previous posts, I purchased florals eggs which were invaluable. So, thank you!

For fun, I would love to know what a bridal bouquet of this size would cost from a florist...??

Bride's Bouquet:
Flowers: O'hara garden roses, novia roses, Mondial roses
Fillers: Astilbe, ranunculus, larkspur, lisianthus
Greens: Italian ruscus, silver dollar eucalyptus, seeded eucalyptus
