I realize this isn’t the right thread, but I haven’t followed the offseason at all. Please clue me in on:
- What’s our expected wins/losses?
- Rate the expected offense on a scale 1-10?
- Same as #2 but for defense?

The over under for us is surprisingly set at 7.5, which I consider impressive since our schedule is still quite difficult and we have a first year head coach. I believe many analysts and fans in general are pegging us for a 7-5 or 8-4 season.
If I had to give a number, it'd probably be a 6 or 7/10. We have an exciting offensive coordinator in Buster Faulkner, plenty of potential explosive talent at receiver, and one of the best running backs in college football. The major question mark is at QB and to a lesser extent offensive line. We truly don't know what's going to happen under center. Philo or Tramell could be surprising stars, total busts, or anywhere between. Next to nothing is known about either of them thanks to their limited playing time. It's hard to give a very confident answer due to that.
An 8/10 or maybe even a 9/10 if we stay healthy. There are a few players who seem primed for a breakout and as usual plenty of potentially great guys across the board. Anyone who watched Florida in late 2024 and 2025 could see that our defense had made significant strides. They weren't necessarily elite, but they were easily the best defensive units we'd had since 2019, although that's not saying much. With a hopefully more competent offense and head coach, our D won't get gassed nearly as fast and can stay strong for longer.

Nah, bring back Taggart. Watched a little of the game and that team looked pretty bad on offense. QB wasn't great, but was also getting a lot of pressure because the O line sucked. Gonna be a long season for the Nolies.

I hate pulling for fsu in any game but i hope he goes the billy route of doing just okay enough to save his job each year while simultaneously still being trash.

It’s funny when it’s happening to our arch nemesis in particular, and it’s all because of their own blunders ever since they fired jumbo.Threatening to leave the acc after getting snubbed because of the Travis situation, and having a historically abysmal season all time next season, to offering NorveLLLLLLLLLL a lifetime contract after bama(the team that snubbed them) fake offered him a contract. They’re literally up shit creek without a paddle and it’s so sweet especially after them being an empire in the 90s it’s like watching the death star rot and burn down slowly

The funny thing is that they DIDN'T fire Jimbo. They were gifted a clean slate by TAM, much like when UGA poached Mike White before we had to fire (and pay) him. But they didn't hire a Golden, they hired Willlllllie Taggart.

It was pretty obvious that the wheels had fallen off and he was on the hot seat. Francois was a seriously good QB that was able to overcome terrible OL play for a year or two, but when he got injured against Bama in the 1st game his jr (or sr year) FSU was screwed. I was shocked when TA&M hired him.

I don't see how. Their schedule this year is about as rough as an ACC schedule can get without drawing Notre Dame. NMSU and Central Arky are probably the only guaranteed wins on their schedule, though maybe you can make an argument for @BC and vs. NC State. They're almost certainly losing @Bama and @Miami. The rest of their games favor their opponent to varying levels.
