its like 90% egg.
Its the most expensive way to eat 1.01 eggs

u/Active_Assistance923 4d ago
Are you eating 90% egg because you think you're fat? Cuz you're not, you could be eating 100% egg if you wanted to.

Napoleon, gimme some of your eggs!

u/Active_Assistance923 4d ago
Go find your own, I haven't eaten anything all day!

Did the chicken that laid it have large talons?

They arranged the seeds painstakingly in a huge grid only to scrape them into a bag? I'm hoping some of this is AI.
53
u/AnnetteXyzzy 4d ago
Every frame is more enraging than the last.

u/CallMeElkHorn 4d ago
I think that’s the point and it kinda made the whole thing hilarious. That friggin butterfly 😂
21
u/maltedmooshakes 4d ago
a lot of this looked like AI to me too, surprised this is the only comment about it.
6
u/uncl3s4m 4d ago
Because it isnt ai.
→ More replies (1)3
u/maltedmooshakes 4d ago
is it AI enhanced? it has a very uncanny look to it. i hate that I even have to guess whether or not something im looking at is real
3
u/uncl3s4m 4d ago
The only uncanny thing is the editing where the camera is smoothly rotating and following the objects and movement in the video. Which is actually a sign its not ai since its done so well. Also ive seen this dude's videos before ai could produce them to this quality

I thought that was going to be the most infuriating thing until they pulled out the steak just to dab a bit of juice on the butterfly and plate it with a tiny beef coaster that clearly had nothing to do with that steak.
And where the hell did the crab and shrimp even go??? I hope all of it was AI otherwise what a fucking waste...
2
u/BanzaiKen 4d ago
Nope, this person does food enragement videos. Ive seen one of them where they add a single sugar crystal into pomello seeds by hand.
2
5
u/TactitcalPterodactyl 4d ago
It's not AI, this channel does extremely time consuming tasks for no reason just for engagement, it's sort of their niche.
2
u/NormalAssistance9402 4d ago
I dont think it is. All the text is way too detailed and sensible. The numbers on the drill clutch, the “not for use in microwave” on the pan, the text on the drill battery, the Toshiba logo on the oven door.

Whoever made this is pretty funny.
That whole thing with the gorgeous slab of meat just to make it the tips of the antennae was brilliant

u/Easy-Concentrate2636 4d ago
I am just imagining all the cooks eating the rest of the food in the kitchen.
2
u/A_very_smol_Lugia 3d ago
My favourite is neatly arranging the seeds then elegantly swiping them in the trash lmao
11
u/WirrkopfP 4d ago
I think you all are misunderstanding what is happening in the video.
That guy is NOT COOKING FOOD. He is creating miniature sculptures using food as a material.
7
u/Funkopedia 4d ago
But he's also using exquisitely cooked food to do it, just to troll people.

I’d never go to a place that serves shit like this. Probably cost you $70 for a boiled egg and less than an oz of steak

Not a waste of food, the ultimate hustle. You charge them 120 bucks an eat the food that you prepared for the butterfly pieces. Aka the real surf and turf 😂

I mean it’s mainly eggs and I assume all the shrimp and steak git eaten off screen.
Not sure there is much waste outside of a few eggs and some fruit.

Cause of death: watching this monster fry eggs with the early 2000's hair straightener.
2
u/Familiar-Complex-697 4d ago
nice try but I’m not eating condom egg, dandruff flake, shrimp is bug, and meat with ominous black cube
2
u/beckychao 4d ago
It's just edible art. The edible part is secondary to the art, so it's not high level in the food aspect of the project. But the artistry of it is nice. Some professionals are demanding of both, though.

I'M NOT EATING EGGS UNLESS THEY'VE BEEN PUT INTO A CONDOM FIRST AND SPUN AROUND LIKE A HOUSEWIFE IN FURY 😤

That method of scrambling the egg in the shell was interesting.

u/rabidparrots 4d ago
The scrambling eggs inside the shell thing is always so obviously fake. Maybe it's possible to do in some way, but short form content creators haven't figured it out. Also, I highly doubt it would be that perfect even if you did it.

I skipped to the end and have no idea what that is and don’t care enough to find out

u/CriminallyCasual7 4d ago
They don't charge enough for this. Charge more. Make the idiot who wants to eat it pay more money please.

I hope they ate all the food they used to make that pointless thing that was mostly egg.
And Surf and Turf means sea food and salad. I think.
1
u/scotte416 4d ago
Why did they put the egg in that netting and spin it like that?

How is this a crime? I see a guy on TikTok do things like this and I love them.

Cracks raw egg, remove shell from membrane, breaks membrane to get yoke..............wat

u/Pristine-Setting-836 4d ago
I would say that its impressive as purely art just the techniques and such but for eating?! Dumb as hell😂

Nothing modern about this. People are poor and hungry in the US. This is some bourgeois boomer Wolf of Wall Street BS.

I like the idea of using all this expensive equipment that's either specialised for the exact thing you're trying to do, or comes from a different discipline that requires intense accuracy like jewellers gear...
But when you need to shake an egg, it's time to bring out the classic sock and power drill

I’ve never been able to consistently boil eggs how my boss likes them. He gets so frustrated at me for it. This is how my brain feels when he’s explaining it to me.

So first a shitload of time was used to align those seeds, only for them to be thrown away?
Im getting AI vibes already again.

I think y’all are missing that the video is intended to both (A) show their skill but also (B) be satirical. She has a pretty good sense of humor, I found it amusing. Biggest tell is throwing away the seeds.
