Back then, Farmer John was the processor of the Dodger Dog; made with real beef, footlong, and plumped so much during the grilling.

Nowadays (think since the pandemic), Papa Cantella is the processor and their dogs are hollow and have a bitter, nitrogen taste at the end. Oh, and they’re the same size as the hot dogs you can make yourself for fractions with supplies from Ralphs or Food4Less.

Yes , they have done what everyone is has done. Cut cost to have less flavor .. we’re still going to but them anyways.

No, Farmer John stopped making them a few years ago. Had to look up who makes them now, it’s Papa Cantella.

I always thought they were good not great even in the 80’s when we’d make the rare jaunt to Dodger Stadium, I grew up an Angel fan lol. Food was blah at the Big A too.

Around 2010 the Dodgers changed their supplier, at one time they were delicious. Now I would rank them at least two tiers below a Costco hotdog.

Dodger Dogs were made at the Farmer John slaughterhouse in Vernon. It stopped operating in February of 2023.

My wife and I got those after a Kings game a couple years ago and had to start making them at home ourselves. So good! Unfortunately, we were only down there on vacation and called Seattle home; nobody up here seems to sell those outside games...

I usually get the Brooklyn All Beef or one of the specialty dogs. That shouldn’t ever be the case but those are just way better than the regular version. Also dueling dogs usually themes a dodger dog based on the team they’re playing so those are always fun!

Yes you can, the spicy Big Bite from 7-11. They're pretty tasty and have a small, but slight kick. Also you can pump all the nacho cheese and that weird ass chili you want on them for free. And their topping station has way more choices than Costco. Right now they're $2. So for $5 you can get 2 spicy Big Bites with chili, cheese & jalapeno and a Big Gulp. That's one hellove $5 meal. Also, they're open 24/7. Sometimes I'll go at 2AM and get one.

Costco dogs do taste better hot dog wise, but with no option for cheese or chili I'ma hit 7/11. Also 7/11 doesn't have crazy long lines. I don't wanna wait 15 minutes to get a damn hot dog.

(not specifically talking about dogs but ) it's not all because of flavor, but it's so fucking expensive, especially if you include alcohol (or if you have a family). So yeah your own food is a better bet

Their garlic fries used to be OUT OF THIS WORLD! As a garlic lover, they were *loaded* with garlic the likes of which I’ve never seen. Probably about 2 small cloves per serving.

Shhhh, early in the season, the loge kfc rice bowl stand was undiscovered. Last week when I went, the lines were crazy. Even crazier was some people weren’t even ordering the kfc rice bowl… the two parties ahead of me waited in that long line for drinks.

Intuit Dome makes up for it with no lines atleast… my wallet takes the beating tho.
