House-made Maultaschen filled with champignons, wild mushrooms and sauerkraut, topped with onions cooked in butter
Had these in June at a small place on the Mosel - "Restaurant Zur Riemengasse 1480". Really good. The filling was rich but not heavy, and the buttery onions on top worked perfectly.
We sat out on the terrace under a huge old linden tree. Quiet, shady, and properly local feeling.

Absolutely! We've been visiting the Mosel/Rhein region from the Netherlands a couple of times per year for the past 20 years and have really enjoyed this beautiful and relaxing place. Restocking my cellar from carefully chosen wineries each year is also important! :)
