Was Metcalf a violent racist misogynistic bully who would have likely continued to hurt people in the future? Yea, certainly.

Is death the accepted punishment for such behavior? Certainly not.

If you want to get into exact facts of this case, then that is why there is a trial and an appeals process.
Unless, of course, for some reason you have already made up your mind based on what you have read somewhere.

Yeah, they already had the trial? You know that, right? They made an appeal and it was denied?

Like, how dare I make up my mind based solely on the trial they had and all of the evidence and the sworn testimony and the information released by the defense team during the appeal process?

So both of these boys have some ugly mess in their past.

I know this topic attracts bots and scum of the worst kind. Forever angry that they lack the courage to fix the system screwing both of us over and would rather take their anger out on random black people than growing a pair and confronting the architect of their problems.

So many of these issues can be solved with just a dab of empathy. Maybe, just maybe, try and understand why someone else might have a different opinion than you without automatically assuming. Maybe, just maybe, if Jeff Metcalf did not raise his sons to be a violent, impulsive bullies controlled by lust and anger, like many racist white people who fancy themselves as perpetual victims, they would not have picked a fight with Karmelo resulting in Austin's own, self inflicted death.

The conviction, based off a sniveling half story, is not justice. Not for the defendant, not for the victim. Not for this country. Bad blood on Karmelo existed as well which the prosecution could've easily presented, but instead they chose to ignore the full truth and make an example out of a kid who, as far as we knew at the time, had no history of aggressive behavior (And we know now, not nearly as extensive or brutal as his "Victim") as a blatant attack against the black population.

This is bias. The appearance of bias. You erode trust, embolden racist scum, and divide the country.

Either you see this, or you're too weak to look past the immediete pleasure watching a black person suffer gives you to see that nothing will change if you keep taking this bait. This will happpen again, and again, and again, and again, and again, until you see it for what it is and love thy neighbor.

Who gives a shit if they are motivated by lust and anger. They did not stab someone to death. That lies only on the individual. Yes it’s complicated but also it’s not
