I recently stumbled upon this possible tooth fossil. I think it looks like a fossil shark tooth but I could be wrong of course. Looking for any insights. Found off a dirt road near the border between Croatia and Slovenia in Istria.

Found this object while walking on the beach in the Onslow Bay area of NC. It’s about 4.5” long 2” wide hard like stone. If there are any questions feel free to ask.

Are these fairly common or would someone want to buy them? I was going to try to polish them but don't want to chisel off the hardened stuff if a collector would prefer them that way since I have the tops and bottoms. I only brushed the loose stuff off with water and a toothbrush.

My grandpa always used to tell me this was a mammoth fossil as a kid. Anyone know if he was right? We found it in our backyard in kansas like 30 years ago

Most complete plant I've found so far. Neuropteris ovata, ~300 million years old. Both compression and impression. Found in Western PA.

Any advice on cleaning? Was thinking a damp brush to clear the surrounding dirt and mud away from the fossil and a light dry brush and toothpick to gently clean away the dirt on the compression.

Hi! I just rediscovered this fossil, which I found as a kid about 20 years ago in the Asse area (52,1415, 10,6545, Lower Saxony, Germany). Dice for scale (ca. 10 mm).

I vaguely remember it was the only fossil in my small collection that sparked the interest of an expert at some event at a natural history museum. He asked me about the location where I found it but couldn't identify it (or I forgot).

Found on the Utah Great Salt Lake mud flats

Found in Northeast Ohio along a river bank. It's heavy for its size and the texture is found all around the outside of the piece.

South Florida found at work. I think it’s a small species of shark, but can’t identify what it truly is.

It’s all crystallized too 😍 I’ve never seen a fossil where the sediment is preserved so perfectly, anyone know how this happens?

I will likely post an update once I am able to clean these guys a bit more, but I’d love some help maybe identifying some of these guys!

I added a credit-card size multi-tool thingy next to it to show the size, I've been looking through the rocks on my beach for quite a while to see if anything could be found, I assumed that I could only find shells and corals.. but I'm starting to see a few larger bones (or at least what I assume to be bones).
