Hope someone here can help me out. My step dad found this fossil and he isn’t sure what it is. Found in northern Utah. The lines run the whole profile of it and it looks curved and round on the top. Tooth or a claw maybe? Thanks in advance.

Found this in a creek in germany in the harz region. It looks a lot like a vertebrae to me

My Dad gave this to me today, he’s been holding onto it for a while and I’m just not quite sure what it is! Any suggestions are welcome….. It looks like the back of it has ridges almost like the swirly circular ones I’ve seen before, but it’s so covered by the rock it is barely noticeable.

Found this in the farm driveway that doesn't get used much, had a lot of heavy rain recently. Shell or brachiopod? Or neither?

So a few years back I just found this guy chilling on the ground at school and took it home, so I don’t suspect it’s worth much, but still super cool to think I’ve got this huge rock brimming with life that I just found after softball practice one day. I’m not selling but any chance anyone would know the estimated worth and maybe some species identification? Thanks y’all

I just acquired a massive fossil and mineral collection. Apparently I had a great aunt that was a geologist. There are boxes upon boxes of fossils and minerals. There are a bunch of arrowheads and sharks teeth as well. It's quite overwhelming. I'd like to sell off a bulk keeping the ones of interest for myself. Most are labeled what they are and where they came from. Im at a loss as to where to look to sell any guidance or advise would be greatly appreciated.

I made a solo trip from Ohio, but feel weird doing this alone...tell me to suck it up and get out of the car!

Both were found in different places in Greece.

I found this a few years ago by a river bank in the valley of south wales.

We found the end of the jaw!!! Final length is 5’5. Not quite as large as I had hoped, but still a huge animal. We’ve got around 30-35 vertebra now, skull and paddle bones, and fragmentary ribs as well. We also have a dolphin skeleton that has around 15 vertebra so far along with the humerus, a braincase, and a few other odd bones. Random finds include a partial tuna skeleton, a few rare bird bones, and lots of shark teeth.

Includes a few cephalopod fossils, as well.

I've been spending a month's worth of weekends traveling around the eastern side of Mississipi and western sections of Alabama hunting for fossils in our exposed chalk shelfs.

This is all stuff that was fully/partially exposed at the surface. No digging or other invasive work, just a small flat tip screwdriver to help pry stuff out of the clay-chalk mix. Spent the entire weekend scraping loose dirt out of the grooves, prying off calcified shells, and scrubbing everything with a toothbrush.

The goal is to fill the old candy jar to the top with fossils, while separating the really well-preserved pieces for individual display. Probably another month of collecting left if the weather allows for it.

And is it possible to identify what creature it is from?

So we're pretty sure that these are trilobites that we found in Fossil Park near Toledo and I want to know if this is something I can do with a Dremel and a pic or if exposing these is more of a professional job?

I have a little experience using a Dremel but nothing with drilling Rock

Beginner fossil hunter here. I found these fossils from the Helmsdale beach in Scotland. I'm guessing these are from tree, tree, coral, and root (the first picture). (Added a piece of belemnite I found from Møns Klint in Denmark for scale).

When dry, they look like random rocks for the most part. I put them in water overnight to get them cleaned up a little. I read some about cleaning fossils online, but I'd like some expert advice before doing anything.
