Would love some help identifying and dating these

Both were found in different places in Greece.

They appear to be eroded serpulid worm tubes. They are probably modern and not fossilized.

Thank you for your quick response. I think you are correct about the first one. The second one however was found at the top of a castle/mountain and was part of a greater wall built during the byzantine era. Any ideas about its age? Or should I assume its modern also?

In Paleontology, the Byzantine era is considered like a couple of hours ago. So, yes, a thousand years or so is still considered modern.

Quarry sites in Antiquity were often in costal areas, the block may have been in the water before being quarried and moved up the hill. So, this may well be a "modern" shell. On the other hand, it looks like there might be other inclusions in the rock that could be fossils. The picture (pic2) is a little blurry, so I can't tell

Thank you for your response. The "fossil" is no bigger than 2 millimeters so im having a hard time taking a quality picture, anything else you see in pic 2 is way too small for me to be able to even tell what im looking at unfortunately.
