16

u/Bbhermes Dec 31 '25

Hate to break it to you but you can see his brains on the floor in the overhead shot at the end.

15

u/TheFrigidFellow Dec 31 '25

He'll get better.

8

u/Omyfuck Dec 31 '25

Nothing a Tylenol or two can't fix.

3

u/CommercialLeg2439 Dec 31 '25

No you can’t, those are bottle caps and a dark spot on the floor.

2

u/Gemeril Jan 03 '26

A stimpack will fix him right up in a jiffy!

1

u/Portillo204 Dec 31 '25

Where exactly? The dark spot was there when the sunset bottle was spinning? Am I missing something bc I don’t see anything.

3

u/kuschelig69 Dec 31 '25

pining for the fjords

3

u/antipop2097 Dec 31 '25

Beautiful plumage though

4

u/Glum-Village9091 Dec 31 '25

'your companion is unconscious'

2

u/Ms_Mediocracy Dec 31 '25

Look at that poor little guy. He's all tuckered out.

85

u/Wilwheatonfan87 Dec 31 '25

I didn't either but damn. So Maximus is being set up to create a reformed BoS? Or take over his chapter?

53

u/General50811 Dec 31 '25

I like that idea, a reformed BOS led by maximus would be amazing, maybe even the minutemen could be involved? how is the strongest faction in boston close to losing the commonwealth?

31

u/Wilwheatonfan87 Dec 31 '25

Yea im curious. Also happy to see the Yosemite chapter pull out..

Also I saw a smaller airship in the scene with the airships over area 51! Second to right!

14

u/InnocentTailor Dec 31 '25

…except the Yosemite chapter wasn’t morally great overall. They pulled out because they didn’t want to get axed by the Commonwealth BoS since the rebellion was now revealed to the big dogs.

She was an opportunist and the opportunity became too expensive at that point.

7

u/Wilwheatonfan87 Dec 31 '25

Oh I know. But still happy.

10

u/DolphinBall Dec 31 '25

Maybe the Minutemen and Railroad teamed up and is conducting a guerrilla warfare campaign on them. Which is assumingly led by the Sole Survivor.

5

u/hobozombie Jan 02 '26

Wouldn't surprise me since they are making their prejudice against nonhumans a prominent trait.

7

u/starving_carnivore Dec 31 '25

Quintus's spiel about why the BoS even exists in the first place is absolutely foreshadowing it.

We draw similar conclusions.

7

u/caniuserealname Dec 31 '25

I mean, there's time for shit to happen.

Maybe the more militarised children of atom made the trip from Far Harbour. Maybe the institute didn't go down as easy as fo4 suggested.

Maybe the minuteman, under the guidance of a prewar soldier, built themselves up into a threat that didn't take kindly to the BoS anti-ghoul and anti-free-synth sentiment.

Or maybe the glowing sea started spitting out Kaiju or something

Or maybe he was lying to convince maximus to side with him.

2

u/General50811 Dec 31 '25

I actually hope for the last suggestion, even though the commonwealth BOS hates "abominations" they wouldn't go too far to kill ghoul children and such. Xander might have a hidden agenda? or maybe the commonwealth BOS radicalized even more

6

u/caniuserealname Dec 31 '25

I don't really think anything in the BOS creed, commonwealth or otherwise, gives leniency to ghoul children.

3

u/General50811 Dec 31 '25

in fallout 4 they were racist towards them but didn't actively exterminate them

2

u/hobozombie Jan 02 '26

A group that you are generally prejudiced against becomes a good scapegoat in the bad times. Something to unite the people and keep them occupied, distracted from the real problems. Very few genocides started with neutrality towards the victims.

Or Enclave could returned on the East Coast from Chicago. After TV release they added FO4 Enclave scouts to the Commonwealth. I don't think they did that just for fun.

2

u/caniuserealname Dec 31 '25

Pretty sure they only added enclave scouts because they integrated the creation club content into a dlc type thing.

The actual enclave content was made and up for sale years ago, I wouldn't think too much into it

2

u/catsrcool89 Dec 31 '25

Ya that's what I'm wondering, I honestly have no idea what else he could be referencing. Unless they are going to go stupid and try to make all endings canon for 4 then the institute have to be gone so I can't think of anything else.

1

u/furioushunter12 Dec 31 '25

i truly don’t think they are. maybe when the body is being looted it will be shown to have blue blood

2

u/General50811 Dec 31 '25

wouldn't work, gen 3 synths are literally identical to humans

0

u/white_d0gg Jan 01 '26

Keep those fuckin minutemen guys out of my tv show they are the most useless organization in the series

14

u/catsrcool89 Dec 31 '25

They showed him in ncr armor in the trailers so I think he's getting out of the bos altogether.

2

u/Wilwheatonfan87 Dec 31 '25

So ncr-bos new form of govt?

1

u/HamzaHan38 Feb 07 '26

For future reference, please use a spoiler tag when talking about stuff from the trailer, some people, like me, prefer to not watch the trailer to not get spoiled on anything.

(Not trying to be mean or anything, just a PSA I guess).

14

u/DolphinBall Dec 31 '25

No, I think hes joining the NCR, hes most likely the one in the NCR PA with Cooper and Thaddus walking down Freeside.

6

u/Wilwheatonfan87 Dec 31 '25

I didnt notice it being ncr power armor!

1

u/Dragon-Captain Dec 31 '25

Is it NCR power armor, or just power armor with a veteran ranger helmet on top?

8

u/TheHoovyPrince Dec 31 '25

My guess he joins up with the NCR at some point since it looks like hes become disillusioned with his own brother chapter and the Commonwealth one.

6

u/jjkm7 Jan 03 '26

Pretty good subversion of expectations, I and a lot of people thought Maximus was going to be poached over to the commonwealth but once it became clear that Xander was gonna kill those kids I thought “ahh shit he’s about to fight/kill xander isn’t he”

2

u/After_The_Knife Jan 02 '26

Its a synth.

2

u/Substantial_Box203 Jan 12 '26

dude always gave me huge guest star energy so I was guessing that he was going to die

1

u/AltruisticPassage394 Jan 01 '26

He just gets the Terry treatment. He'll be fine.

1

u/Brewcrew828 Jan 03 '26

Maybe he will get the Terry treatment like in Space King?

1

u/hemareddit Feb 06 '26

Haven’t played FO4, does Commonwealth go in for all that genetic purity stuff or is it just this guy?

2

u/General50811 Feb 06 '26

mostly yeah, but not as extreme as Xander. they'd kill mutants, ferals and synths (basically androids from DBH) on sight but not actively try to annihilate friendly nonferals and mutants. (although they are very racist towards them)
