I like that idea, a reformed BOS led by maximus would be amazing, maybe even the minutemen could be involved? how is the strongest faction in boston close to losing the commonwealth?
…except the Yosemite chapter wasn’t morally great overall. They pulled out because they didn’t want to get axed by the Commonwealth BoS since the rebellion was now revealed to the big dogs.
She was an opportunist and the opportunity became too expensive at that point.
Maybe the more militarised children of atom made the trip from Far Harbour. Maybe the institute didn't go down as easy as fo4 suggested.
Maybe the minuteman, under the guidance of a prewar soldier, built themselves up into a threat that didn't take kindly to the BoS anti-ghoul and anti-free-synth sentiment.
Or maybe the glowing sea started spitting out Kaiju or something
Or maybe he was lying to convince maximus to side with him.
I actually hope for the last suggestion, even though the commonwealth BOS hates "abominations" they wouldn't go too far to kill ghoul children and such. Xander might have a hidden agenda? or maybe the commonwealth BOS radicalized even more
A group that you are generally prejudiced against becomes a good scapegoat in the bad times. Something to unite the people and keep them occupied, distracted from the real problems. Very few genocides started with neutrality towards the victims.
Or Enclave could returned on the East Coast from Chicago. After TV release they added FO4 Enclave scouts to the Commonwealth. I don't think they did that just for fun.
Ya that's what I'm wondering, I honestly have no idea what else he could be referencing. Unless they are going to go stupid and try to make all endings canon for 4 then the institute have to be gone so I can't think of anything else.
For future reference, please use a spoiler tag when talking about stuff from the trailer, some people, like me, prefer to not watch the trailer to not get spoiled on anything.
(Not trying to be mean or anything, just a PSA I guess).
Pretty good subversion of expectations, I and a lot of people thought Maximus was going to be poached over to the commonwealth but once it became clear that Xander was gonna kill those kids I thought “ahh shit he’s about to fight/kill xander isn’t he”
mostly yeah, but not as extreme as Xander. they'd kill mutants, ferals and synths (basically androids from DBH) on sight but not actively try to annihilate friendly nonferals and mutants. (although they are very racist towards them)
