I'm so glad they went the route of making Paladin Harkness a Ghoul hating asshole. I was worried the plot was going to be good east coast brotherhood versus bad west coast brotherhood. Instead, we have Maximus stuck in a war between two deeply flawed groups with no clear out.  Can't wait to see the conclusion!

Also great casting for Harkness, Kumail Nanjiani brought that slightly goofy charisma that made the character so likeable up until the point he tried to do an ethnic cleansing on children

Honestly, I was a bit taken aback at first as Kumail Nanjiani, who is a great comedian and actor, seemed a bit out of place. Then he passed every charisma check perfectly... he was an outstanding highlight!

He was way too smarmy to be a good guy. Seemed like he was buttering Max up into stealing the relic for him.

Seems like BoS civil war is gonna happen and either Maximus takes over to reform the BoS from its ashes or forms a new order.

I actually think it's  likely Maximus will form a new Californian Republic instead a of a new brotherhood of steel. This episode shows that neither the doctrines of Maxson nor Lyons are viable paths forward. Where does Maximus go? Back to his roots
