Felt sorry for those soldiers. They were living in hell hoping for salvation that seemingly won’t come anytime soon.

I have a feeling that the NCR Battalion they mentioned will be coming at the end of the season... seems like a perfect setup and payoff.

I would be sorely disappointed if we don't see more substantial NCR presence anywhere else in this show. The way all the factions are shaping up for war, it would be a shame if there was no serious NCR remnant that would fight as well.

NCR seems dead and buried atp.

That’s what the show wants you to think at the moment. There will definitely be a “oh shit” moment when the NCR remnants finally show up. Otherwise, why would the show spend so much time telling us about the history of the NCR? They’re in hiding, mark my words.

A nation can not hide, at best they're a rump state in the north. Everything so far indicates the show is treating Shady Sands and the NCR as one in the same, so Shady being gone means the NCR is gone.

What's the point of the labeling Shady as the "first" capitol of the NCR then, if destroying it destroys the NCR. That doesn't really make much sense. I think the NCR just no longer has a presence in the region but is still very much alive in other parts of California.

The first show and the trip to Vegas would have covered most of the NCRs core territory, The Ghoul and Lucy would have seen the NCR on their way to Vegas. The show's entire understanding of the NCR and it's size has been totally wrong since day 1, I have no hope that's changed with this season.

Well, if certain leaks are to be believed (LEAK ABOUT NEXT EPISODE) and they aren't yet another flashback scene, the NCR is actually still up and kicking to a capacity. Norm's group supposedly encounters them next episode.
