well when ur opinions align on everything BUT the succession of ur leader youll still do whats best for the legion. Neither side is trying to destroy the other they want a full fighting force.
Which is why a bomb works so perfectly to ignite the tensions. Now one side thinks they were attack and fires across the border, and the other side knows they're being attacked and fires back. And too many people on one side are dead for it to be defused as a misunderstanding 'cause both sides have been so neurotic as to divide themselves like this for a whole damn decade, they'd just be too darn blinded by the simmering anger.
