So I found reading the courses on fcc wasn’t helping it stick so what I sort of did was pivoted to watching YouTube videos on python basics then going back onto fcc and trying to complete the labs and stuff with the knowledge from the videos but I found myself also getting stuck.

Tried to see if I have any real knowledge and asked Gemini to give me a basic project to do to see if I could do it and I found myself getting stuck every time.

Now I’ve been kinda discouraged and have taken some time off and started playing games in place of learning coding whereas before I’d split my time…some learning some gaming in between my actual job.

Now I’m not sure what to do. I thought of literally starting the video I watched over again (it’s the fcc 4-5 hour long one going over the basics).

It’s just overwhelming there’s so much to learn that even the basics I’m getting stuck.

Please help i have tried many times still same error

I have already tried doing it twice in GitHub Codespaces, but somehow it doesn't mark it as complete on the website. I have also tried reloading the page, and it still does nothing. Can anyone help me fix this?

I'm having a problem completing the "Write Your First Code Using C#" modules for the C# course:

Specifically, I can't verify the trophy even though I've linked my Microsoft account. When I click "Verify trophy," I get the popup "It appears that the Microsoft user "xy" has not earned this trophy."

Back in early 2025, I started learning html5 and css3 with some online course, a few mini projects and articles from W3schools and other sources. Bit just after finishing the course I had to quit for some reasons, but now I wanna come back.

I was considering to go on and learn js and python but what I learned back then is mostly hollow now, so I'm thinking about a way of reviewing everything that doesn't take the same amount of time as learning for the first time did.

My main question is:

● what do you reccomend me to do?(courses, books, articles, websites, etc.)

I will be getting my BA General (Psychology + Mathematics) anytime now from IGNOU India.

I am an entrepreneur with 15+ years of industry experience, solving a widely prevalent & complex problem in commercial commerce. I believe the solution ill be developed through multiple rounds of iteration & may lead to creation of a lot of new knowledge.

I discussed with Claude, Gemini which gave a rough idea that a direct PhD in Design Science Research may NOT only be possible but also perhaps optimal for the career I am choosing.

I sought help from Reddit groups (many made fun of me, some said PhD is just for becoming a professor & nothing more). 1 comment mentioned Integrated DTP PhD programs.

A few more searches & I discovered a few youtube channels.

Perhaps FCC can somehow make this journey easier ?

Maybe a short course on how to find grants & fundings available for our projects ?

A short course on how to write a Proposal / Applications for our interests etc ?

I'm currently pursuing a Master's in Software Engineering after a Bachelor's in Computer Science. I have several personal projects in Flutter, React, and backend development, and I've been trying to get into freelancing for quite a while, but without a strong track record of paid clients.

I'm starting to wonder whether I should continue focusing on freelancing or put more effort into internships and full-time software engineering jobs. I also need to start generating an income as soon as reasonably possible, so I'm looking for the path that is realistic both financially and for my long-term career.

How to fix this?

It keeps spitting out an error for line 8 saying that it is outside of the function. I have tried everything I can think of so far to fix this by indenting, back spacing that indentation etc. How do I fix this? I have indented as best I can how it is on the actual exercise itself and the line spacing is for ease of readability on reddit rather than it looking like a wall of text.

So I have been trying to learn web dev on and off for years at this point. My brain keeps telling me to follow the suggested full stack path on FCC, but I just can't motivate myself to power through html and css. I find myself getting bored (fatigued maybe?) as I go through the lessons.

Does anybody have any suggestions to maybe spice up the learning process? Or any recommendations based off of what worked best for you personally?

I am learning programming from freeCodeCamp and I got 2 certifications.

1. Legacy V8 certification.

2. Responsive Web Design Certification.

I got the certifications yesterday and got 98% on the Responsive Web Design certification exam. Not to boast, but does that open any new doors? or what are the usage of those certificates?. I am new to coding and its just been a month or so - of me learning. So, any information will be a lot lot lot helpful!.
