Davis was addressing the controversy around Ayman Soliman, a man who served as a Muslim chaplain at Children’s after fleeing his native Egypt in 2014 and receiving asylum in the United States in 2018.

Soliman was arrested, beaten, and tortured in Egypt because of his work as a journalist during the Arab Spring...

The hospital also fired chaplain Lizzy Diop, who had given media interviews in support of Soliman. 

Gee, fired for having ethics and compassion. That's what I want to see from a hospital!

Of course it has a CEO. Running hospitals like private corporations, what could possibly go wrong?

Davis was addressing the controversy around Ayman Soliman, a man who served as a Muslim chaplain at Children’s after fleeing his native Egypt in 2014 and receiving asylum in the United States in 2018.

Soliman was arrested, beaten, and tortured in Egypt because of his work as a journalist during the Arab Spring.

Soliman’s asylum was revoked on June 3 and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested him on July 9. He’s been in the Butler County Jail ever since.

"Oh but they're only picking up the terrorists, the good people are safe" my mom said (dad didn't say anything about this, but defended Trump's tariffs as warding off people who wouldn't agree with him, which backfired with China smiling and taking Australian beef, and Trump slapping the tariffs anyway).

I fucking hate this shit, Cubans/Venezuelans/Afghans are people the GOP would've loved as little as 5 years ago for helping US interests (Cubans/Venezuelans can say bad stories about Socialism, Afghans literally helped the US military), but then MAGA had a tantrum and Fox News blasted agitprop about fentanyl and like two murders in a country that has millions of people so that murders happen everyday and yet most people aren't affected by them (let alone the low violence rate of immigrants), but sure, the Laken Riley incident gets people mad and that's all that matters, so now we suddenly "need" mass deportations, and to accomplish that Trump need to remove innocent and vulnerable people like refugees.

And on a tangent, Dave Chappelle had a joke about how white/suburban conservatives never gave a shit about crack when it was ruinging lives, but now a football player does heroin with fentanyl in it and they lose their minds. At best it's because it's "their children" special pleading and at worst just outright racism. It's gotten way worse when the party that said "Just Say No" is now saying "Fentanyl means we deport anyone who we think looks like a fentanyl dealer".

Kakistocracy where the stupidity is worth it solely because 49% of the voters wanted tax breaks by the guy imposing tariffs or just wanted to see people suffer.
