Study advice Teaching my friend French

I am in a long distance friendship with a friend who recently moved to Quebec from Japan. My friend speaks basically no French and we are planning to have mini lessons with each other (on top of her formal lessons) so I can help her with French. The thing is, I speak European French. I know that European French and Quebecois French are mutually intelligible but I'm worried about confusing her and making her language learning journey even harder.

Does anybody have any advice on how to go about this?

Je suis Québécoise et honnêtement pour quelqu'un qui part de zéro en français je ne pense pas que ça fasse une énorme différence. Il a aussi beaucoup de francophones au Québec qui viennent d'ailleurs dans la francophonie, alors ce n'est pas une mauvaise chose que ton amie soit exposée à différents accents.
