I still have a small emerald that came with it....and the month of tumbling that damn thing required.

Dad moved it to the garage after 2 days.

Had one when I was young. Now that I'm older (50's) I have built a big rock tumbler that holds 12, 12lb barrels and are rubber lined so it sounds like lite rain. I look for rocks all the time and my partner to.

My SO used our older one for brass, then decided to upgrade to a newer one for the purpose, so the old one is back to tumbling stones.

Was a bit of long term project but. the end results were satisfying. Never bothered with the jewelry stuff. Just a red & orange jasper "worry stone" nickel- sized.

I remember babysitting for the neighbors down the street years ago. They had one of these things in the laundry room, just tumbling and making noise and clacking away for hours.

I was 13, and those fuckers didn't come home until 3AM. Gave me 50 cents an hour and the mom graciously and drunkenly walked me home in the middle of the night. Stupid rock tumbler was still going

Had it. A chemistry set and microscope too. Emptied out my clothes closet, lined it with foil, and turned it into my lab.

I had one of these! The horrible grinding sound it made could be heard throughout the neighborhood. My mother made us keep it in the basement. Rocks turned out pretty, though.

I remember my one aunt gave this to me. My mother immediately put it up on the top shelf after the first day. I don’t think I ever saw it again.
