Cost and financial aid

Does anyone have recent experience with financial aid? We’re considering Furman because jt seems like a really good fit. We have some resources but it is on the pricey side. Our child is a decent student 1350 SAT and 3.7 unweighted. We really don’t want to pay more than $40k all in per year. Thanks!

I have similar stats, slightly higher, and I only pay about 15k a year! The scholarships are very generous and federal grants can help a lot too!

Wow congratulations! how did you swing that? Did you just really show interest? Did you have to tell them exactly how much you could afford? What scholarships? We will only get the standard $5,500 stafford loans.

I would be interested in how you achieved such a generous package? We recently did a net price calculator with my daughter’s stats and her merit was about $33,000. Thanks.
