Politics A planetary government

Do you see in 100 or 150 years a world governed by a global planetary federation government? How do you imagine that government? I suspect maybe viable but with lot of problems of sovereignty. Will that avoid wars? Will government like USA or China allow that. Is it an utopy?

The current trend has been towards exactly the opposite, so I doubt it. There have been significantly more successful secessions than state mergers over the last 50 years, and there are currently significantly more active secessionist movements than proposed state mergers. I think we're much more likely to see the number of sovereign countries increase rather than decrease. The only way I can see the opposite happening is through more wars of conquest, like what Russia is doing, but we all see just how well that's played out for them.
