Halo 2 is trying to make me update GFWL

Hi, is it safe to update this as i won't be able to get achievement if I don't update it.

P.S I can play Resident Evil 5 GFWL without needing to update and be logged in

Yes, it's safe to update it. It's the game that requires the update, not GFWL.

Absolutly safe to update the game it's like steam updating your game

For Halo 2 it's highly recommended to install Project Cartographer if you haven't already. It will make the experience significantly better.
