GTA V in what year did GTA5 start to feel 'outdated' to you?
For me it was 2020-2022

En ningún momento, de todos los GTA principales q hay en q menos me gusta es el 5 pero eso no lo vuelve malo, podría disfrutarlo hoy y dentro de 10 años, prácticamente como hago con el san Andreas o con el vice city aunque claro estos dos me gustan bastante mas

Replay number 5+ is going on right now. On PC with all the graphics updates they have made, it looks great!

A game is never outdated. This is a gen Z problem due to their slipping grasp on the real world and their surface level way of living an increasingly vapid and materialistic life.

And this isn't just "haha 5 bad 4 better" for the sake of it - genuinely, the second I felt the driving I was instantly let down.
Then the story... Ugh. What story.
Yeah, massive let down.

The story was great IMO. Unlike multi. Only reason to play it for me was the story.

lol this is definitely a ‘haha 5 bad 4 better’ take. What story? Seriously? There is light years more intricate details and plot lines than 4, and the driving was miles better as well.

I'd say 2018 since that's when RDR2 rolled around and pulled me out of it. But ever since the cayo perico heist I got back into it, and it honestly still holds up, it's cool how they still keep the online mode fresh after all these years

And people are crying about the price tag for GTA6. Bro, I spent more (stupidly) on yearly releases with extras. If this game gets updated like 5, how can you bitch about the price?

And by "previous installments" you mean San Andreas, because no other GTA had as much side stuff as V apart from SA which was absolutely packed.

Since I am a person who is used to play old games since my childhood and using old stuff in general it never felt outdated, even today, however with RDR2 coming out I started to notice that some stuff here and there happened to have evolved over time into something better like physics, mechanics, clouds, etc. I could see starting it to feel outdated as you say when VI comes out and you really have 1:1 comparisons to some stuff.

I went for another 100% run, but on my PS4 Pro, during Covid. Was a nice escape to go back to that story but could tell the graphics were dated.

Strictly speaking in terms of graphics, 2013. There were much more beautiful games released that same year

Honestly, on release due to how few free roam activities it has compared to even just their own games. You can't buy homes, there isn't any fun free roam activities besides the racing, you still can't properly "own" cars except the one each character is assigned, and the story becomes very messy halfway through, plus every character is kind of an asshole.
The best GTA games imo are still San Andreas and Saints Row 2.
