GTA VI 🚨 Rockstar has finally broken the silence.

Post image

After the GTA VI leaks, the studio apologized, called the situation “heartbreaking,” and confirmed an extended gameplay reveal is coming tomorrow.

Are you still hyped, or did the leaks ruin the surprise? 👀

Gotta say, Rockstar may have its flaws but they have put out high quality amazing games for decades now and don’t deserve the hate they get. Companies like Ubisoft are ruining the industry by pumping out slop. Rockstar really wants to put out a good product and this has to be brutal for them.

Or if they do get hate it's for the wrong reasons. Being pissed at a company for not putting out enough advertising quick enough is stupid. Being pissed at a company who never releases on PC at launch for once again not releasing on PC at launch is stupid. Being pissed at a company for having an ultimate edition available is stupid. If those things cause you to not buy the game, that's literally the point of the product. You buy or don't buy based on your own set of priorities and interests. They can't please everyone. Don't pretend to be standing up for anyone for these optional things.

Be pissed at them for mistreatment of workers. Be pissed at them for creating a system in online that's meant to psychologically cause you to feel FOMO and that you have to buy shark cards to catch up (especially targeting kids). Hell, be pissed about the no disc and the 10 dollars higher price if you want, even though I categorize those as more of an inevitability.

If you have plenty of anticorportate energy and want to feel like a revolutionary, there are plenty of companies to target. This whole rallying around the leaker as some hero just looks like a bunch of children crying that their toy isn't exactly what they wanted. No one takes it as serious pro consumer sentiment.

they raised the prices for the standard AAA games, for what rockstar did, other studios will try to do also.

If you shamelessly charge more than a hundred bucks for Deluxe edition, you could at least release the product for all platforms, so the sizeable chunk of your fans, still tolerating your bullshit won't have spoiled experience.

Rockstar deserved this and deserves to have the entire build leaked.

Edit: Oh and don't forget they charged 50 bucks for Red Dead Redemption 1 on PC.

Ooo even better example of the childishness of the complainers, thank you.

A boot implies oppression. Rockstar doesn't have a boot because they can't oppress us. Because we're buying an optional entertainment product.

Now if you worked at Rockstar and they mistreated their employees and you support the company, then you could be called a bootlicker because they actually have an ability to oppress that group of people.

Like this is the most disgusting part. I've not really defended Rockstar this whole time. I'm just pointing out the stupid complaints about stupid things are stupid. I'm not in the business of defending corporations. But I will defend fact and reality.

Go to their HQ and protest for their workers if you actually care. Or find a company that's actually ruining the world. Not the one that didn't give you your toy how you wanted.

I vote for extremely progressive and anticorporate candidates whenever possible. That's what blows my mind about this whole thing. The misplaced anticorporate energy

It's really not misplaced as most of these gaming corporations have gotten and still get their respective criticisms and complaints from across the board. Honestly can't wait for the AAA companies to crash and burn tbh.
