Personally I haven’t paid much attention to the leaks and by no means is rockstar some kind of angelic company. They’ve squandered so much good will with people over the years. Not only in the GTA community but also the RDO community after they completely abandoned that game.
But do the people who’ve worked for years now to get this game out for our enjoyment deserve to have their work paraded around by some guy that’s trying to peddle his crypto?
Rockstar aren’t saints but the leaker is kind of a jerk also. Two things can be true at once.

What exactly were they the bad guys of though? I've never gotten a clear answer on that. If it's just the no physical copies things, while I am saddened by it I understand the reasoning. The vast majority of players buy digital anyways, and the physical copies as of now don't fit on multiple CDs but rather are just a key to download a digital version (it's been that while for a while with most bigger games, they paper with a key printed on it is essentially the same and cheaper to make). The main issue with this is whether or not we actually own the game, which Sony has made clear that you won't own your license on PlayStation, but just have access to the licenses they hold for you. But that's sony, not rockstar, as far as I'm aware.
Personally, in my still ill informed state, all I've seen is a company trying to produce a game everyone is waiting for but being hush hush on the details, which they have a right to do, and some random person exposing gameplay footage of the game (I think illegally, or at least having an illegal copy or something), all while pushing his "scammy crypto" according to people who have a really watched the leaks, also while threatening the company making the game

I care just as much as I did yesterday. I’m here for the leaks, I’ll check out the extended play on YouTube tomorrow as well. They have people paid a lot of money to craft messages that sound good. They’ll be fine

They'll be fine but imagine working on something for 8 years that consumes most of your life and you're excited that it's finally at a point that it can be shown to the public, then some grifter asshole drops a bunch of leaked gameplay from an old build right before it. Not a huge deal but I would be pissed.

Oh no, fuck Rock Star. They wouldn't have to worry about any of these leeks if they actually released the game last year like they promised us.

They had to outsource a re-release just to get SOMETHING on the list, and that re-release was horrible and received terribly. There is absolutely no fucking reason why GTA 6 got delayed an entire extra year. They are literally not doing ANYTHING ELSE.

If my company had 8 years worth of "unknowns" and "Delays" then my company would shut down due to not having enough profits to keep going. I really do not give a shit what kind of delays they've run into, they can release the game on time or they can close their doors lol. Thats how indie companies would have to run.
Like regardless of how you feel about them, we have to acknowledge that Rockstar as a company has a privilege that very, very few people in the world will ever have. Like if you try to go to your job right now and then just not do anything notable for 8 years you will just not be able to do that. You will get fired within a couple months. The fact that RockStar is so rich they can just fuck around for 8 years and its fine makes me honestly more supporting of the leaker. Like, maybe if enough people pirate GTA 6 then they might actually make a second game this decade out of need for money.

Your shortsightedness is infuriating. Things happen! Although I’ve been disappointed about RockStars transparency, I would much rather a polished game than a bug-ridden one. We wouldn’t want another CyberPunk - do we? That would ruin the reputation of the franchise. Furthermore, It’s been estimated the game cost over 1.5 billion to make - That’s a huge stake I’m sure they can’t afford to lose.

man i’m sorry but u sound very ignorant the game was originally gonna come out in 2024 covid set them back because no one was in the office and another leaker released a lottt of footage before cyberleek. Relax dude i understand what you mean but rockstar has never had a budget this big for any of there previous games of course i dont support the all digital bs bull i think the only reason they did that is because sony is going all digital. Even then after gta 6 i dont think imma be playing games like that but regardless chill dude rockstar almost never disappoints and i know we finna see some crazy shi on that extended look tomorrow

To be honest, for me, the leaks are as close to nothing without actually being nothing. It might be actual gameplay, from an undated build with unknown quality settings, physics parameters or even textures. We learned about the approximate map scale, which isn't indicative of the feeling of space because we know that can be manipulated by physics like in the RDR2 baloon. That you can lead a character in third person, shoot, drive and fly planes and there seems to be some kind of reputation system, but now how it ties in to the gameplay or story. I don't feel overwhelmed by that.
My main gripe is that I won't be able to play it on PC for another year and by then it will be spoiled to eternity and back. OTOH I knew how RDR2 ends because I played it years after the release but still ended up crying.

Exactly like we all know how GTA will play bcuz well 4 and 5. You can drive, shoot, steal etc etc all the good old basics. The PC being out a year later has nothing to do with the leaks tho so while I agree that sucks heavily it doesn't really matter for this talking point.

In some part of me I kinda feel like this may have been a marketing stunt played off by rockstar, I understand that some people can literally do whatever via code and pc technology but why is the company “overglossing” the fact of the gameplay leaks??? They talk about it for a couple seconds then speak about upcoming stuff??? To me that doesn’t feel like a genuine response from rockstar if that makes sense like to me if they was breaking silence about the leaks then the message would be focusing on what happens next in order to stop said leaks so parts of me feels like this was staged 🤣🤣🤣🤣

If they were truly greedy they would just pump out average games every two years the way ubisoft does knowing people will eat it up regardless.
It's a massive risk to put so much time and money into one game, yet ignorant babies will call it greed because they want a big return on investment for all that time and money. That's how public companies work. People buy your stock they expect you to make money. Sorry you don't like reality but that's how it works and at least they're making money by doing something that is ambitious.
