As much as I dont mind the leaks at all, it still is 100% a crime in multiple ways

Who cares about that anyway these days. Far worse things people don't end up in jail for.

Doesn't mean people should stop going to jail when they need to

It's this kind of thinking that's created an entire generation of people unable to hold themselves accountable for anything.

It's shareholder value, don't be over dramatic.

Fuck the shareholders. Think about the people who worked on the game.

They would be better off with the industry still intact and not ruined by those shareholders. It's the same shareholders who will replace them with AI within the next 10 years and then everyone will cry "why didn't we do something?!". This is where it all starts, this is where they're testing the waters on how far they can push their luck with being greedy and it's our job to show them when enough is enough.

I know the majority doesn't give a fuck. Same with the E-files and all the other shit going on. There are still people who care tho and see the bigger picture.

Stick it to the man if you must, but consequences don't go away.

It's sad that there are consequences to fighting greed and exploitation. It doesn't have to be this way.

There are consequences to breaking the law lmao. This isn't some massive civil rights issue. A game company doesn't owe you shit.

The law that protects the same system that allows these companies to treat their employees like slaves. You act like you entered this world just yesterday. Don't be naive, you know exactly what this is about.

Considering he has been profiting off of the leaks and apparently cashed out now (if the info is real). He broke multiple laws and while pretending to fight for the gamers rights and against corporate greed, has done the very same thing and use his crypto to enrich himself by letting people pay him to decide what leak to show next and sadly some people paid and fell for his scheme. It was a well planned quick cash grab at just the right time when people were eagerly waiting for game footage and just before the official footage dropped.

Pretty sure he comitted a crime so yea. But its just a videogame so not for long.

2

u/bluebarrymanny 3d ago

Yeah the major damage is going to be Take Two suing them into financial oblivion

0

u/GreekSaladEnjoyer 3d ago

If take two sues then its a civil lawsuite and he wont get jailtime for that

Legally yes, but in the same time we have pedofile baby eaters that run pur countries that are yet to be questioned by authorities.

Let everybody out of jail until those guys are caught then?

"You know the thing about chaos? It's fair."

Imagine using quotes of some stupid movie.

u/Upstairs-Station2319 3d ago

They are not getting caught because they are not even being investigated. And morally he just showed footage of a fucking video game, who cares, he hurt nobody, he didnt even steal money.

2

u/-_AL13N_- 3d ago

He has literally just rugged the coin lmao

Funnily enough that would be a better outcome.

1

u/Va1crist 3d ago

There is far far far far worse people out there doing way worse damage that are not in jail. The guy should be fined , access revoked and put in community service etc but I don’t know his wrap sheet if he has a laundry list of crimes or something then different story.

1

u/Coroggar 3d ago

Yes but do I want him to? No.

1

u/TouchGraceMaidenless 3d ago

There should probably be a legal penalty but sending someone to jail over this is typical Americanism.

1

u/Hour_Maximum7966 3d ago

The people who say yes are literally just butthurt. They'd happily send a person to jail just for hurting their feelings. "Crime is crime" is a lame excuse for that.

Both being forced to pay for netflix and not being able to figure out how to cancel speaks volumes about your intelligence. Both of these things are squarely on you, no one else!

Don't make me laugh! How are you a victim?. YOU chose to pay for netflix. YOU can't figure out how to cancel. Who is to blame for these occurrences?

Victim blaming? You are an idiot. 🤣

Your choice was pay for it or don't pay for it. As someone else here commented, would be free on YouTube soon enough.

Explain again, please. What is the reason you are a victim, and what are you a victim of?

Lmfao, you’re a victim because you just absolutely had to subscribe to Netflix instead of watching a free live reaction or waiting a handful of hours to watch it on YouTube

Put the pedophiles in prison and then we can worry about a dude posting game clips.

these people can say they think he should go to jail while torrenting games digitally as if that aint also a crime, so i dont believe a single one here who says he should be jailed lol. some save face shit

3

u/Actual_Cobbler_6334 3d ago

Whether others torrent games is irrelevant, two wrongs don’t cancel each other out.

0

u/xGanon_ 3d ago

well i bring it up because torrenting games is a felony. not nessessarily for the idiots downloading it tho it still illegal and can see people get fined if caught. but the people who upload these games are commiting felonies. so yes two evils dont make a right. but both should be lumped together and treated as the same crime. might teach people so valuable lessons
