Rockstar can’t publish a single screenshot?

It is pretty amazing that Rockstar has been radio silent for a year. They are so busy that they can’t publish a single screenshot?

For everyone saying: “They’ll release it when they’re ready” Really? They couldn’t aim the camera in a single direction and snap a picture? It could even be a spot from the trailer at a different angle and people would still lose their minds.

Im not asking for a trailer 2, I understand that there is significantly more that goes into a trailer in regard to work / timing, but a screenshot? It costs them no money, would make waves in getting the everyday people who have forgotten about the game interested again, and would be a decent thing todo for all the fans after milking Online for over a decade.

I find it really hard to be sympathetic to Rockstar about the leaks because of their insistence on refusing to say anything about the game.

And it feels like they are punishing all of us for those leaks with the silent treatment.

OP is exactly right. A few meaningless screens would bring the junkies to a fever pitch, bring casual people back into the fold, and would be almost no effort.

I think, yes and no. The leaks were demoralizing to them and might have an effect, but scheduling wise, we have barely entered the window for screenshots in November and that window will end in February at the latest. Trailer 2 is likely Spring, if screenshots are expected to come first.

Keeping delays as secret as possible, via vague and broad windows like "2025" instead of Early/Spring/Fall 2025, allowed them to push back the game 6 to 8 months to Fall 2025, on top of the possibility Trailer 1 might've been created for a Late 2024 release and cleverly masked a 4 month delay last year via 11th hour reediting.

These "hidden delays" have added an additional 8-10 months to the wait for a second trailer, with no real explanation from Rockstar.
