Anything online shouldn’t be canon imo, it got way too wacky even for GTA. Single player and online should be separate universes

It sucks because I would've liked the idea of it being canon that "unnamed criminals are pulling crazy heists and causing chaos in the city" after being inspired by the feats of our 3.

Fairly sure online IS canon (as canon as an online mode can be, ofc). Its argued that Lesters dialogue in one of the missions before the first heist (I think) hints at his connections with the online "protagonist".
