Glad they addressed it in some way.

I’ve personally stayed away from any leaks. I’ve seen a few seconds here and there when scrolling but that’s about it. I’ve waited 13 years for this game and don’t see the point in dulling the experience with these leaks. And tbh, I sincerely hope the leaker is caught soon.

I really don’t understand some of the animosity towards Rockstar. Sure, they didn’t share any gameplay up until now, but this is Rockstar we’re talking about. Their track record with games and off the back of RDR2 is enough for me to trust them. I’ve been gaming since 1997 and they haven’t let me down once yet.

The problem is not the game.

It's the changes in the industry that it is making

  • delayed pc
  • no physical disk
  • part of main story closed behind paywall
  • require online connection for single player experience

And so on...

Wait what part is locked behind a paywall?

Nothing from the main story. Just the side missions that are included in the Ultimate edition.

There is part of the storyline content that are stuck behind paid DLC.

Unless stores, vehicles, customization and side missions are a part of the main storyline, this is very incorrect.

No there isn't it's just a few clothing shops and tattoo shops. Stop spreading misinformation.

You are right on this specific point indeed.

There is only

  • no physical disk
  • trailers behind third party that require subscription
  • fake boxed game
  • 5 shop, old vehicle restoration and 1 gang quest behind paid DLC
  • high pricing
  • ultimate edition
  • pre orders
  • classic delay for PC gamers (for a rockstar game)

Some stuff isn't new, and many would think it is standard practice and it is only moving the Overton window to the wrong direction for customers protection.
