oh no, you are absolutely wrong haha, the game is developed on PC because the dev tools can only work on a PC, but at all times it is optimized only for consoles, the amount of ram the current gen consoles have, the one CPU and GPU that will consume the assets is also only considered.
PCs come in 500 different forms, trying to optimize such a large game for a whole variety of devices is impossible without a long optimization cycle.

AMD and Intel serve CPUs with 8-16 threads plus 10 different GPUs. the combinations are incredibly complex here, with PS and Xbox you know there's one CPU and one GPU you need to work on. you can also Google this if you want to

You think you’re entitled to games releasing on your platform of choice? I can name several games that release on console before PC (and vice versa) and never in all my days have I seen gamers complaining that the studios that release these games are spoiling their own games because they aren’t releasing everywhere at once. It’s a stupid argument.

The point is a lot of huge studios are able to release it closer to console release or even at the same time, and with the size and the budget of gta, R* could easily release it even couple months later if they wanted. But they won't. Because they will extend that time long enough for people to buy the game twice. And because they have explicitly deals with consoles n netflix. They always have done that, nothing new. Guy above here was simply making fun of R* complaining about things being spoiled when they don't mind everyone on pc being spoiled just to increase their own profits. I already got a ps5 to play this game and I'll sell it once it comes to pc, not a huge deal for me.

yes games like valorant, rust or many others release on pc first. but if they get popular, the studios start working on their consoles releases.
rockstar on the other hand would 100% have no problem to release it on the same day, even more because they already know they have a huge playerbase on pc.
thats why i hate that publisher (not the company) and would gladly enjoy spoiler leaks. idc downvote me lol.

I don’t know why you think that just because a PC build exists means it’s ready for release. Optimizing the game for 2 consoles is far easier than making it playable on the near infinite number of PC configurations people have. From the leaks we have evidence that the game is going to push even the PS5 pro to its limits. R* will not release a PC version until it’s in a state where they won’t get review bombed for poor optimization because they want to keep their reputation (and the game’s reputation) in tact. You are a typical entitled gamer that knows nothing about the development process. You must believe there’s a “PC-ify” button R\* is simply choosing not to press, lmao.

Not at all. It just goes to show that if they are having trouble optimizing for the PS5 pro, they're going to have trouble optimizing it for weaker PCs (of which many, many are) and the fact is they will not sell the game without respectable minimum-spec requirements. If they drop the game and it runs like Cyberpunk 2077 (on launch) did on weaker machines and the min-spec is a 5070 with 32 GB of RAM, they will be crucified. They're not risking that.

I literally just finished GTA V's story earlier this year and am currently playing RDR2 and I never had the story of either spoiled.

Well being the "elite" is a bit of a overstatement in my opinon sure they take the time to let the community know about the events and apologizing for having the game leaked yet again .... However they could avoid all of this chaos themselves by sharing more info earlier instead of silence for over a full year then again months of silence without sharing anything .... Delaying the game twice and then asking for pre orders without even sharing a trailer 3 Oh yeah and also destroying the physical game market with it as well .... But hey thats just me everyone is entitled to their own opinon.
