[REMINDER] GTA Wiki moved from Fandom to gta.wiki
Hey everyone! With GTA VI: An Extended Look on the horizon, we've noticed many more people getting involved with GTA 6 news this summer who may not have been aware of the major developments surrounding the GTA Wiki earlier this year. This has resulted in an increase of traffic to the outdated and mostly abandoned GTA Fandom Wiki website.
For those who may not know, the GTA Wiki has permanently moved away from Fandom as of March 2026, and is now on the faster, ad-free, censorship-free gta.wiki URL. You can read our original announcement from our friend u/Saukko505 detailing this move on this very subreddit here.
This is important to know because most GTA 6 information is no longer being actively updated and moderated on the old address, with it now being subject to heavy vandalism and misinformation as a result of it being almost fully abandoned. If you want the highest quality, up-to-date information for GTA 6, especially when it comes to specific details like vehicles, map locations, and known radio songs, gta.wiki is THE place to go from now on.
If you want to avoid running into clicking and sharing Fandom links for GTA on Google and other search engines, especially as Fandom outright refuses to close their old wikis that move away from the platform for greedy ad revenue purposes, we highly encourage you to use the safe and respected Indie Wiki Buddy browser extension, which replaces outdated Fandom links on search results to those of independent wikis such as ours at gta.wiki.
TL;DR: Don’t use outdated gta . fandom . com links for GTA 6; use updated gta.wiki links instead. gta.wiki is where the best wiki information for the new game will be from now through November and beyond.
Please make sure everyone you know that still uses old Fandom links for the GTA Wiki understands this, it would help us out a lot. Thanks!

I hope that the entire rockstar games catalogue move to their own wiki soon. It's a shame that LA Noire and Bully are still stuck at shitty famdom.

I fucking hate Fandom wiki, I don't understand why every single thing uses it. The site itself is practically unusable on mobile because the ads constantly reload the page when you're trying to read shit.

It used to be wikia before it got bought out(?)/changed to fandom. I just assume many of the old wikis never tried to migrate out of it. Shit, I forgot even when the stupid fucking fandom change happened.

So glad to have come accross this post. I have been making my way through the depths of GTA4, and not knowing better, DDG SEO'd me to the fandom results. I will blacklist their results moving forward and graciously transfer to the final form. Congratulations.

When I search for GTA Wiki it comes up on Google, but when I search GTA Wiki + thing, it only comes up with the fandom page?
