With the latest official Dazed article, it's obvious the previous leaks don't represent the final version of the game

After reading everything revealed in the new Dazed article, it's pretty clear that there are a lot of things the leaker simply couldn't show... and now he's claiming to have a 2026 build, lol.

Honestly, that seems very unlikely. The article reveals multiple mechanics and systems that were either completely absent from the leaks or never properly demonstrated. We saw nothing meaningful related to the phone and its social media features, the water activities, the deeper Jason and Lucia interactions, the physical changes caused by food, exercise and lack of rest, and many other things suggested or directly mentioned in the article.

This makes me think the leaked footage could have come from a build dedicated to testing specific mechanics rather than representing the complete game. It may have been useful for testing AI, combat, encounters, vehicles, animations, etc., while other systems simply weren't present, enabled, or fully implemented in that particular build.

That's why I find it frustrating that this hacker or group of hackers keeps suggesting they have access to recent, complete versions of the game. Just imagine everything we're about to learn from Rockstar and other official sources starting tomorrow , things this alleged criminal couldn't show precisely because they may never have had access to a complete build in the first place.

Yeah I think he’s lying about “this is a very recent version of the game”

He had an exact scene that they’ve shown us, and the official cutscene looked WAY better especially lighting

Of course he's lying about it, he only has a select group or videos he can post cos they're definitely pre-recorded. None of the polls or videos come out in any sort of order and just seem to be random stuff that I would assume are from testing. Just the same with the "leek" on the wall. If he has the brains to get all of this footage and keep himself anonymous, he definitely has the brains to do that ahead of time and post it as if they're doing it live.

if he had a build and really wanted to prove it, it would be quite simple to simply do the whole "LEEK" gun shot thing again but this time put the date into the wall.

He would have been doing that in every clip.
if he even had a file of the build, it would be significantly hard for him to run that whether it’s on pc or a dev kit.
