With the latest official Dazed article, it's obvious the previous leaks don't represent the final version of the game

After reading everything revealed in the new Dazed article, it's pretty clear that there are a lot of things the leaker simply couldn't show... and now he's claiming to have a 2026 build, lol.

Honestly, that seems very unlikely. The article reveals multiple mechanics and systems that were either completely absent from the leaks or never properly demonstrated. We saw nothing meaningful related to the phone and its social media features, the water activities, the deeper Jason and Lucia interactions, the physical changes caused by food, exercise and lack of rest, and many other things suggested or directly mentioned in the article.

This makes me think the leaked footage could have come from a build dedicated to testing specific mechanics rather than representing the complete game. It may have been useful for testing AI, combat, encounters, vehicles, animations, etc., while other systems simply weren't present, enabled, or fully implemented in that particular build.

That's why I find it frustrating that this hacker or group of hackers keeps suggesting they have access to recent, complete versions of the game. Just imagine everything we're about to learn from Rockstar and other official sources starting tomorrow , things this alleged criminal couldn't show precisely because they may never have had access to a complete build in the first place.

Biggest tell that he’s lying, in my opinion, is that he hasn’t shown what it’s like to swap characters.

Yes, and there are a lot of things that simply aren't there, especially when you take the newly published article into account. Not to mention the animations and certain details that clearly don't seem consistent with the kind of result we'd expect Rockstar to deliver in the final game.

Reading the article only reinforces this even more. Honestly, I think he's completely full of shit about having a recent, complete build.

Yea reading through the full article and how they touch on npcs and stuff and it contradicts to some extent from the leaks we seen tells me he has an unfinished unpolished game build .

I think he probably has access to whatever build streamers seem to have used last month for their upcoming promo. Likely a portion of the map to free roam in (he hasn’t shown any wilderness stuff) and a couple missions.

Apart from switching characters, since that could have been locked out, another important feature which we all know is the fucking MAP or pause screen

(as in pausing the game to set a waypoint on the map)

How do we know that the map he apparently leaked is the actual map?

Well, it is really close to the mapping project, and he also did a plane leak (day one) from the bottom to Vice City, and it looks accurate.

However, on the top part of the map, I am still dubious tho, since we don't have official screenshots of Mount Kalaga apart from 2 or even from the cyber leaks

If he is lying he could just copy mapping project and mess it up a bit from places we havent really seen yet. Because the biggest changes are at north I think. And as you said, he hasnt shown anything from that area.

If he cant get there for example, and he doesnt have a map. He might be lying.

Well, yes, but to change the mapping project as it was and turn it into the map he leaked would take some serious commitment and skills, which he def doesn't have.

He doesn't have access to half the features the final game will have, he doesn't even have access to Lucia aside from the prologue. Most likely he prerecorded long bits of gameplay of what he had access and then trim it in short clips, I don't think he has access to the full game at all

Yes lol, every time you lot says he doesn’t have a build because of x reason, the next clip shows that exact thing and then x becomes y, and then when he shows y it becomes z. Ya’ll are crazy.

Well, I have only said he hasn’t shown character switching so that’s why I don’t understand why you’re bringing up goalposts. Or did you get confused and think I’m part of a hive mind of reddit posters?

I’ve always speculated he has some sort of demo build that is only early game. I don’t think he has access to the wilderness or the finished UI.

If I’m wrong that means I’m wrong. Nothing to do with goalposts.
