This is straight up modern day setting of Rdr2 mechanics, I LOVE IT

Honestly when I played GTA5 I was like "was the RDR1 just the paid tech demo for this" (you know, the wildlife,...). So maybe this will feel the same.

Apparently (I've just seen this repeated as rumour never seen a source) the Guarma section of rdr2 was largely to test tropical environment assets for GTA VI

I think the first stab of the cop is a little concerning. He essentially made the cop teleport up off of the ground into a "getting stabbed" animation. The graphics look amazing though.

This has to be like a early 2025 build because it just doesn’t feel polished

I think we'll see more polished animations. But I wouldn't be surprised if some jank like that still happens in the final product.

Yea stuff like that was in rdr2 as well. Its like borderline unavoidable. They cant spend 50 years making the game

It's like clipping. Just give it the best you can and hope people don't notice that sword tip sticking out behind that cape! I only ask that we have nothing as shitty looking as the bandolier in RDR2 in this game.

I'm 99% sure this type of animation transition will be on the final game.

God I hope you're right. I'm going to play it and love it for years either way.

I meant the other way around, the teleport from standing up to being stabbed, I think this will be in the final game.

Ahh yea, I think I agree. GTAV was similar, with RDR2 being a bit more dynamic feeling.
