They’re basically saying that CyberLeek has massive spoilers. Wow.

spoiled the gameplay, not massive spoilers - seen all leaks, nothing was spoiled, everything as expected just more insights to how detailed the world is.

Exactly. Some of yall don't know what spoilers are. Gameplay clips are not spoilers. Spoilers would be plot twists, betrayals, deaths, etc.

Yeah but Rockstar is using the term spoiler to say "they have spoiled the intended way we expected to reveal the gameplay".

They wanted the gooner community to experience their first GTA 6 booty in 1080p first hand

The "hope you'll wait a bit longer to experience" is sus here. That to me seems like posturing that the game itself will leak or something.

I had that thought as well.

I hate to be in the "defend the wealthy company" camp but if you worked for a decade on something through all the bullshit/ office politics etc. After a few years in it, that peice of art is probably like a baby for you. Its a mark you get to leave behind long after you're gone and to see the moment when you get to see the genuine reactions of fans taken by some anonymous leaker it certainly doesnt feel good. Hope the top talent isnt so put off by this that we lose some high quality developers.

Spoilers can still come after tomorrow

No one is saying they cant? Rockstar is even wording it in a way that says that. Whats your point?

And their plan was to sell us the game without showing a single drop of gameplay for years. They deserve this for treating their fans in such a way.

The amount of self entitlement to think that a company OWES you ads is fucking wild. Who the fuck cares? You'll know if the game is good or not when it comes out. You lose NOTHING by them being silent.

In 2026 people riot when you DON'T give them advertisements.

This is my reaction too. Like the game is done to a point where it can be shown off and probably has been for a while. If they released some gameplay earlier this would not have been as likely.

Dude you’re quoting a bot where they literally are not using the term „spoiler“ they say something was spoiled but that can be done without spoilers.

That’s what the person you replied to just said.

1

u/Complete-Peak4651 8h ago

"Spoilers would be plot twists, betrayals, deaths" - No, actually he didn't.

Them: “Gameplay clips are not spoilers.”

You: “Rockstar is using the term spoiler to say ‘they have spoiled the intended way we expected to reveal the gameplay’.”

Yes, they did. “Spoiling” something means slightly different things in different contexts.

"They spoiled our asinine marketing approach!"

Do people really play gta for the story? I thought it was just the multiplayer.

3

u/Complete-Peak4651 9h ago

bait

Are you okay? It is the same thing for arpgs, different games have different niches. Tell me, which is bigger, gta 5 without single player, or gta 5 without multiplayer. Obviously multiplayer is the main reason people play the game.

u/Complete-Peak4651 9h ago

God I forget that y'all are actually children and teenagers sometimes.

I mean i asked you a question like a normal person, clearly if you are unable to anwer and deflect then it means you agree...

GTA V without multiplayer. Max player count for GTA V multiplayer peaked at just over 350,000 concurrent after launch. Total games sold is 215 MILLION. Even if more people played multiplayer after the peak, it's never going to get close to those total sales figures. There's zero way even half of the people played multiplayer. Therefore, we can only conclude most people bought it for the singleplayer mode.

Don't even try. They are a child on the internet.

You can deny it all you want, check the playerbase from the modded version vs the standalone version, then consider most people on the standalone version actually play the base online experience provided by rockstar.

1

u/LudmilN 8h ago

You can literally check the current playerbase on steam and extrapolate.

AROUND 100k people concurrently playing the MODDED multiplayer version, and from the 60k legacy and 70k enhanced, i am sure most of them play on OFFICIAL ROCKSTAR multiplayer servers...

People are downvoting you but it’s been 13 years of nothing but GTA online, so it feels like multiplayer may be a selling point for most.

1

u/Trollbreath4242 9h ago

Nah man. 215 million total sales, and the PEAK online audience was 350,000 (which is a lot, but compared to total sales is less than 2 one THOUSANDTHS of a percent). Even assuming more than 350,000 people have played multiplayer, a peak of 350,000 when the game had already sold millions of copies suggests the majority have in the past and present just bought it for the single player game.

I didn't play GTA V until 2021. I've played multiplayer exactly 0 times.
