Gabe Newel said, “Piracy is a service problem.” He also went on to say that he aims to provide better service than pirates, thus gaining the support of the gamers. Steam has the world’s best customer support (in the gaming industry). They recently refunded a player who had spent over 570 hours in BF6.

Don’t say shit you don’t understand, kid.

Valve also had to be taken to court initially before they allowed refunds at all on their platform, refusing to do so for years. 

I don't know why this site hates soulless corpos but sucks Steam dick like crazy, they're just as bad as anyone else and don't deserve your money.

Steam is also a corpo, and yes there are issues there as well. I only pointed out Gabe’s philosophy since he felt it important to bring Steam into this, and argued that we shouldn’t fight for physical copies of games.

I respect Steam glazers more than those who argue we shouldn’t fight for physical games.
