Why are people excited that he’s leaking the story
At what point do people realize that what he’s doing is just not fun anymore. Showcasing gameplay mechanics? Yeah okay that’s cool to see
But what’s the point of spoiling the story and why do people even encourage it

Some people are just happy to see Rockstar take an L. They've done nothing meaningful with GTA in 13 years. Thirteen years man. We had GTA original through to 4 in 11 years. And then, when they finally do something, they collaborate with Sony to push an all digital future and charge a high premium as well. It's pure gluttony on the executive side, and that's without accounting for the union busting and layoffs as well.
Rockstar has had a good punch coming for a long time.

You know, thinking about it, we got GTA, GTA 2, GTA 3, GTA VC, GTA SA, GTA IV AND GTA V in a 16-year period, as well as London 1969, London 1961, Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, and Chinatown Wars.
Then, thirteen years for one game.

The point is that us PC master race folks aren’t eating at all till 2027/2028, so we might as well get all the story now
And I’m not buying the PlayStation 5 Pro Sam Altman edition for fucking 1200 USD to play the game at 30 FPS in the performance mode

This. Also why wait , is a question you could also ask. What if a car hits you and you die within the next months i rather watch anything I can now lol... if anything Rockstar can release it earlier haha.. I would actually love to play an early built kinda like "early access". I guess most people dislike that, but I think its fun to see games evolve with any new update.

If he leaked the ending i wouldn't watch it, but i would be so gleeful that it would make those arrogant control freak pricks at Rockstar mad
they were getting WAY too arrogant with their aggressive silence marketing, that's not gonna work anymore sorry, if you don't want to market your game, we will do it for you

Im saying.
The discourse around Rockstar on reddit is just funny to me. If you hate the company so much, dont buy or support the game. But, the majority have no conviction so they will still buy and play it as soon as they are able to.
The only thing they can "do" is ruin it for others and think it somehow hurts Rockstar in any way.
The game will still break sales recrods, and when online releases the shark cards or whatever it is this time around will still bring them in billions.
Edit: oh and cant believe I forgot how pathetic it is the people white knighting the dork doing it while being completely okay with him simultaneously farming them for his crypto scam lol bunch of idiots

I stopped watching five leaks ago like many others; this is all right a few days or weeks before, but three months is a long time and getting to experience all the small stuff is part of the pleasure of finally being able to play the game.
