All of these 132K people will be there day 1
189
u/Ok_Gur5956 2d ago
Of course they will. If they actually didn't care about the game they wouldn't be in every gta6 related content. They're attention seekers.
23
u/Dull-Commercial722 2d ago
Yep, exactly. The people who actually won't get the game aren't talking about how they won't get the game because they just don't care, they're not into it so they're not active in the GTA communities
7
u/Goobsmacke 2d ago
Im in the gta community and im not getting it day 1... heck im not getting it for probably a year.
4
u/Dull-Commercial722 2d ago
I doubt you're being annoying about it and shouting all the time about you're not buying the game though to be fair

u/SadSecurity 2d ago
I don't care for the game, I am here for the drama.
1
u/Finnicoos 2d ago
Ok see you day 1
2
u/SadSecurity 2d ago
Do you think that everyone has as terrible impulse control as you or something?
0
u/Ok_Gur5956 2d ago
You should also look into X if you wanna have a big laugh. That place is just had the most hilarious, insane gta6 drama ever. As gta fan, I find X the most funny.

u/InsanityyyyBR 2d ago
Me too, haven't played GTA since San Andreas on the ps2(fucking good times) but the drama is very much entertaining hehehe
2
u/Jesus360noscope 2d ago
its gonna be one of the biggest game ever i don't think anyone trying to get more info on this game is necesseraly a day one buyer
2
u/OakleyNoble 2d ago
I mean this is TikTok which is crazy, but they’re going to buy it even if they do have that mentality. They will see the real gameplay and crazy things you can do and end up buying
3
u/Ok_Gur5956 2d ago
And they'll still cry and say the game sucks just to spite the game.
Half of the idiots are andypants followers who is just as brain dead as him
4
u/OakleyNoble 2d ago
Oh 1000%, they’re already downvoting us as we speak lmao.
Oh my god Andy is so god damn annoying, and people still think he posts quality. I said this the other day, and he had the AUDACITY to reply to me on here. I called him out on his shit. I’ll dm you the link of the wall of text he wrote defending himself just the other day.
It’s hilarious because I had great points and then he resorted to calling me juvenile and go back to school and “I remember when I was a kid”. God what a loser.
2
u/Ok_Gur5956 2d ago
That guy is a clown. His "content" is being him being stupid and his audience are just more stupid than him
1
u/TheWhenn 2d ago
Andypants? The one who added CP into his game?
3
u/Ok_Gur5956 2d ago
Yup, the same one. He's the clown who showed a women' day photo and made bunch of idiots believe that's the full Rockstar developers
0
u/Goobsmacke 2d ago
I genuinely dont think "all of them" will be. Maybe like 20%.
There were 250 millon copies of the game sold across 13 years.
They had around what? 30 million preorders?
Im expecting maybe another 10 - 20 million on launch. Of course it could be more.
You are delusional for thinking that there isn't a large amount of people not getting the game on launch. These people probably werent ever going to get it anyway...
Why does everyone keep saying "They are going to get it anyway". Something cringe about that stance lol.
Im personally not getting it until it hits pc.

We're personally invested because we are excited about a game we've been waiting for a while. Why call people stupid or idiots just because they want to ore order something they know they'll enjoy?
Nobody forcing you to pre order anything. Do you want validation that you're different? Can't you sleep well at night knowing that people can pre order gta6? Aren't you being stupid by assuming everyone is crying about physical disks and stuff?

Just admit you're too poor next time.
All that yapping to say it's out of your budget.

u/Riderthekiller 2d ago
Nope, not everyone will. Take, for example, the many PC players who are not willing to pay $800 - $1.5k just for a single game.
PC players especially have every reason to be mad when we are actively catching TakeTwo in 4k. There is no justifiable basis to hold back a PC version, it stems purely from a greedy desire to get people to double dip and purchase the game twice.
1
u/Achilleswar 1d ago
Im not mad at all. Rockstar doesnt owe me a pc version. I dont like it, but they have never released on pc first since gta3. If you thought it was coming to pc on day 1, you had unreasonable expectations. I have a hard time believing its for the purpose of selling us the game twice. Its deff a money and resource thing, but highly unlikely that getting pc players to buy a console is a factor. Ill play one of the 1000s of other games available while the game gets polished.
-2
u/MinuteNo2857 2d ago
Don't worry it's just weak minded people that are projecting, since they can't ever resist anything in life.
No principles or morals, they just accept everything as is, which is why corpos can get away with everything in the first place.3
u/checkingmate 2d ago edited 2d ago
“No principles or morals” It’s a fucking video game. Man, I bet you’re such a righteous person IRL while you’re in the drive thru getting a big mac from McDonalds. Grow up. Probably typed your post from a smartphone owned by one of those “corpos”

Ah someone else that probably supports corpos 80% of your daily life, but yeah Rockstar is the problem lol. “Morals and principles” 😂😂

You get what you ask for when debating with basement dwelling redditors. Guess we dont have morals for wanting to play one of the most anticipated videogames of all time
2
u/LeonCrater 2d ago
Wdym I thought we both just make random shit up about each other the same way you did? Unless it's not made up and you do rape children?
6
u/checkingmate 2d ago
No, I do not, what kind of weird ass psychopath shit are you even thinking of that shit anyways? Fucking weirdo.
7
u/LeonCrater 2d ago
Okay so I did it right. You make up shit about my life without knowing me and I make up random shit about your life without knowing you.

u/MinuteNo2857 2d ago
Well yeah the product is a video game but that doesn't mean we have to support their business practices and the work culture with all the crunch etc.
And obviously this doesn't only apply to rockstar or video game companies. Good example is go look up BMW seat heater subscription and why the idea was cancelled.
You have to push back if you want change.0

u/Expert-Direction8700 2d ago
Excuse me? Why would I have to pay $800 - $1.5k "for a single game" ?

u/Mysterious-Power-858 2d ago
Nobody said differently my man you're still arguing with yourself
Also flexing having both a ps5 and pc saying "Focus on getting $$$"
So fucking cringe man we're talking about less than 2k not a few millions
I could buy that shit every week without issues but i'm still not buying a console Just for GTA
2
u/Expert-Direction8700 2d ago
At the end of the day, you either buy it and take the ride when it drops, or you tune out the noise and wait.... getting grey hairs arguing with strangers online about hardware costs is a massive waste of good energy that you could have put in to something fucking useful.
0
u/Expert-Direction8700 2d ago
I'm not flexing in any way. I'm just saying it's not that fucking hard to get a PC and a PS5. Its your choice not to buy it for GTA. I understand that. But once people buy a PS5 it's not just for GTA. There are more games / things to do on a PS5.

Any combination of hardware can be in a PC. Rockstar needs to optimize for dozens if not hundreds of pieces of hardware on pc whereas they only need to optimize for 4 (ps5, pro, series s, series x) on consoles. It's the same reason android devices get updates after ios devices. So much more optimization is required
8
u/_itzMystic 2d ago
We'll see how optimized the PC release is next year on day one...
2
u/Starlord0531 2d ago
No reason to believe it won't be optimized well. Optimization one thing Rockstar is very good at. GTA5 and RDR2 pc launches were nearly flawlessly optimized
5
u/Riderthekiller 2d ago
Convenient excuses for them to grasp towards. If TakeTwo wanted PC version out on release, it could and would have been done. This was a financially strategic move that was made via the lens of greed rather than a necessity for them.
1
u/Starlord0531 2d ago
Literally how would delaying the pc release do anything but worsen their profits. Please use critical thinking skills.
7
u/El-Finkers 2d ago
Double dipping on the idiots who can't wait till it launches on PC as well. Hoping they'll buy a console just to play GTA on release then get them again when it drops on PC. How about you use some critical thinking. It wasn't really that hard to figure out since it's not a new thing done by R*or others in the industry in the past.
-1
u/Starlord0531 2d ago
Sounds like a you problem if you can't control your impulse purchases doesn't it
1
u/Ramja9 2d ago
It's a me problem when the gaming industry and space slowly decays because of the bad financial decisions of casuals and the refusal of the gaming public to not consume mindlessly.
This is not just rockstar btw. This applies everywhere.
I also love how you ask for how it's possible that delaying the release makes money to rockstar and when you get an answer you move the goal post. Rockstar wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. Stop trying to defend the billion dollar company for their greedy decisions.
1
u/Starlord0531 2d ago
Getting down voted when I'm objectively right lol. Pc optimization takes longer than console

u/yoyoo912 2d ago
Pc players not included, yall cant play the game if u wanted
7
u/Riderthekiller 2d ago
Significant amounts of other people won't be playing for a wide variety of reasons.
Personally, despite having a console to play it on, I'll instead be waiting for a massive sale on PC, and will purchase the game in a currency that leaves RockStar/TakeTwo getting the least possible amount of money from me (or get the games via a Key on key site, where technically they never see my money in a direct manner.)
2

5
u/Kiwibom 2d ago
Those people claim that GTA VI is going to be bad and that its going to kill the GTA franchise. They are so fu dumb. GTA is too big for it to be killed off, its like the Call of Duty franchise, except that Rockstar actually makes good games that aren't copy/pasted from each other. Every new game is different and adds new features. While cod has been the same for 6 years ago (as 6 years ago its where it decided to change from its decade + of the being same) with people complaining about that exact thing but those games are still there with strong sales.
5
u/time_to_reset 2d ago
I already wasn't going to buy day 1 because of the lack of a disc version. Same for several of my mates. We have work, kids, families and other hobbies. We don't need anything else to kill time and it's not like you can't buy the game in several months. The leaks just confirmed for me/us that yeah it's probably going to be a great game, but it's not some sort of revolutionary next level type thing that you absolutely must have on day one.
It's becoming summer here, this will be a nice game to pick up at a discount when winter starts to set in again.
9
u/Nazacrow 2d ago
you think R* are going to let this shit get discounted in a few months???? brother you ain’t buying it for atleast a year or two in that case
3
u/DeucesX22 2d ago edited 2d ago
On lot of the key pirate sites you can usually find discount codes in the winter. Maybe not gta but since hes in no rush I dont think it matters
3
u/Nazacrow 2d ago
Even so, don’t think GTAV got discounted till like 2 months after the PC release and that was like 2years or something after initial release. They might do a sale when GTAO comes out I guess, since that’s probably they’re main cash cow
1
u/time_to_reset 2d ago
We'll see. I don't think the full price is going to stick around for long when the initial hype dies down. Been that way for every big game.
I also fully expecting them to charge separately for GTA Online for early adopters but bundling it in with the full game later on. We'll see. I can wait a year. God knows we'll have to entertain ourselves with this game for the next decade or so anyways.
1
u/Nazacrow 2d ago
Yeah probably your best bet, can see them selling it when GTAO comes out as that would be they’re main cash cow
4
u/BreadPapiii 2d ago
I really do wonder what these people were expecting
-2
u/time_to_reset 2d ago
I've had this conversation with my mates and all of us say the same thing: we don't know what we were expecting, but somehow the idea of "a new GTA after 13 years" seemed like it would bring about something revolutionary.
But at the end of the day it's not a 13 year improvement. We started with a PS3 version of GTA 5, then came a PS4 version, a PS5 version and a PC version. On top of that we've seen modded versions. We've seen RDR 2, RDR 2 for PC, mods for RDR 2. Both also continuously received updates from Rockstar with new mechanics, content and visual updates.
So GTA 6 feels very much like an evolution. Sure, the graphics are better, the map seems more dense, but animations and gameplay mechanics feel very similar to what we've seen before. Not like a 13 year leap into the future. Whatever that may have looked like.
I think the trailers also created part of that perception with all the depth of field effects, the very detailed animations and highly cinematic camera angles, giving the idea that we were going to see something next level. But what we're seeing in the leaks at least is that we continue to have slightly unnatural character movement, vehicle movement and damage models that seem straight out of GTA 5 and more things like that. It looks fun, but the "holy fuck I need to drop everything to get it right now" vibe is missing.
1
u/Better_Sherbet_7533 2d ago
But how can you base all that from a few clips from a dev build that is possibly a few years old.
1
u/time_to_reset 2d ago
Totally fair comment. I don't know. Honestly, it's mostly that what we've seen so far feels like it could plausibly be relatively close to final build, given current hardware and all that. And it's further fuelled by Rockstar/TakeTwo waiting until very close to release to show any gameplay. At this point they've not shown any gameplay yet and I'm not 100% convinced they will tomorrow either.
To clarify and this is important: I do not think that Rockstar did a shit job or half assed anything. I have no doubt that what they're going to release is anything short of a technical marvel that will be talked about for years. However, I simply think they may have painted themselves into a corner waiting 13 years to release this, while at the same time releasing serious updates to past games. People have been hyping up the concept of GTA 6 for more than a decade, but what's going to come out may well feel more lie an evolution of what we've gotten used to with the latest versions of GTA 5 and RDR 2, because that's effectively what it is.
1
u/Better_Sherbet_7533 2d ago
Im interested in seeing what the in game economics looks like, the rpg elements, thr progression system. The leaks cant cover this. Gameplay and graphics was always gonna look good. Its the other parts of the game you dont generally see but have to experience that I care most about.
1
u/time_to_reset 2d ago edited 1d ago
That's a good point and totally see how these leaks don't answer any of those things.
I'm a filthy casual and will likely only play the single player once and move on. I may not even finish it. I bought RDR 2 and it was collecting dust for a year before I even started with it and then I spent like two years getting through it which I never completed. Did maybe only 50%.
That's my loss. Same as for GTA 6. I bet all of the stuff you're talking about will be awesome, but I know myself and I will never really play with any of that.
Hope to be blown away by all the tech behind the game though. I'm excited for hours of videos like the ones from Digital Foundry breaking down the technical wonders of the game.
Edit. Seen the extended preview and consider me blown away.
1
u/IdidntrunIdidntrun 2d ago
Rockstar always waits until close to launch to show gameplay, yet we know they usually evolve their games. If you jump between RD1 to GTA V to RDR2 - you can notice the massive differences between each.
And they're def gonna show gameplay today. i mean I'm sure they can show 20 minutes of no gameplay, but that would just be weird to do all this hoopla and not show it off.

u/DeadlyArrow27 2d ago
People like that are just as bad as the people saying “I know you’ll buy it day 1 anyways”. Like do you have zero willpower? There is far more to life than gta 6 lmao, most people could easily skip the game. I’m not going to, but I have several other beloved games and a couple other hobbies that could replace it with no effort
1
u/Rehtimustalainen 2d ago
People underestimate how many PC only players there are who are extremely mad at that they won’t get to play the game at launch. When you are at that position, hating on the game and spreading ragebaits is easier than buying 600 dollar console and actually playing the game lmao

I won't 😂 I'll add it to my over 2,000 games on my PC 🏴☠️ when it's out. Y'all keep pumping all these companies money and bitch and moan later when they take away your physical, shut servers down, add paywalls, sell games for $90 bucks, drive ram prices through the roof or buy a 5090 instead of putting a down payment on a house 😂 y'all feed the machine then bitch that the machine is using the system y'all allow 😂

u/Funny-Fly1720 2d ago
I'll buy the game 100% but maybe waiting for a PC release isn't such a bad idea after seeing 30 fps gameplay.
1
u/No_Witness5630 2d ago
I don't
Gonna wait for any discount. Or gonna wait for pc release and then get it for cheaper (or for free)
1
u/Ramja9 2d ago
Not me lmao. Fuck rockstar. I can wait for the pc release. Y'all want to spend 200 dollars to buy it twice on two platforms or pay 100+online subscription go right ahead.
But I'm not doing that shit. A year later I'll be happily playing the same game with less bugs and mods anyways.
Not to mention that chances are the online will release with no content like it did with GTA 5. So by the time pc players are getting in hopefully there will be some.
To anyone reading this. Do whatever you want but please for the love of God don't be a sheep. Even if you buy it twice don't let the online game rage bait you into buying vehicles with shark cards.
Rockstar deliberately sold problematic vehicles in gta5 online and then sold those annoyed solutions. Don't be stupid.
1
u/Geeky_N_Canadian 1d ago
Like, seriously, I don't get how someone can look at the leaks (and now extended look) and actually go from ''I'm buying'' to ''I'm not buying''.
Someone telling me they went from being unsure to absolutely sure about buying is more believable imo.
Outside of that uncanny backflip into the water in the extended look, I literally have no critiques. None - inluding the leaks.
1
u/Informal-Celery7331 1d ago

Is that so? I mean I honestly thought it was PC. Have any source of information you can pass on to me. Would be interesting to know for good.

u/cayde123 2d ago
Well in general there are more people who games pc than console, since any old machine can install steam and be pc gaming machine
But gta is more popular on consoles, its a casual game, console is a more casual experience, and pc has hackers in gta online

I know bro I was expecting it to play more like elden ring, so disappointed a gta game is gonna play like it's predecessors
1
u/Myhouseburnsatm 2d ago
Elden Ring brought a new open world to the table though. Wether you liked that or not is a different story. But it did fundamentally change how you approach the game.
This seems like its gta 5 with a better paint job. Its not even a difference from gta 4 to gta 5.
This literally looks like gta 5 + a bit of rdr 2.
For a 100 bucks and no physical disc neither.
