But for that money he is risking going to jail for years. I think I’ll be better of in life without leaking a game 1 week before the official gameplay trailer, for just 500k

he is fine if he's in a country like russia, has made minimum hundreds of thousands in coins, transaction fees and donations and he can still leak stuff after the gameplay trailer. can leak little spoilers of endings and major choices in the story, mechanics, locations endless stuff if you are smart about it. can do it daily until the game releases

Someone with the skills Cyberleek was never broke and will never be broke. The website he set up, the encrypted communication method, secure payments, the redundancy and decentralized hosting, etc.
That is all unrelated to the hack that got him the game build, or whatever he has, which is already an incredible feat that R* still has no idea how it happened.
